I had to have the morning off work today as I went out to my car (running very late
) to find it wouldn't start! It started fine about an hour ago when I tested it so I guess I just didn't have time to adjust the choke properly and that's what stopped it. I'll try again tomorrow when I get up and if it doesn't work then, I'll call a taxi and take it to the garage later on when it does. I really don't want to take it today, it'll cost far too much in labour costs for them to probably find nothing wrong with it.

Thanks all
I've found a really similar car for a reasonable amount, I'd love to go newer and spend more but thinking about moving so don't want to tie myself into debt.
My temp car is gorgeous thoughFocus, 59 plate, light blue, so snazzy!

Sal..posted bag this morning...here it is,I have also put lilac tag on in case it matches dress better..
Kayleigh....My car does a similar thing,if i just start it then shut down immediately, it then won't start again. Other half says its because fuel injection pumps loads of fuel in expecting you to drive off, then when you don't it floods engine.Whay size engine do you have? You may find if you just drive it a few yards/leave it running a few minutes it may help.....SRM x
Debt-free...and staying that way...0 -
I keep thinking about a Focus for my next car (motability, I have to change next summer), but then I think that I don't really need a big car. then again, if I'm paying 3.5k just to drive the thing for three years and hand it back I might as well get the best I can...
I've just had chocolate for lunch... well, it was a graze thing with chocolate almonds and cherries, the chocolate ruined it tbh.
Right, need to get dressed and go to the hairdresser. I know what I want, but whether I can explain it and they can do it is anyone's guess!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

I'll let you know how it drives, it's meant to be great on fuel.

It's a Morris Minor so the engine's under a litre. I couldn't get it to start at all so I couldn't have left it running. I usually do that to warm it up a bit but I had no joy at all this morning.
