Ames, she's very......wordy. Too descriptive and overblown but that might be her trying to fit the discourse to the character. With Septimus and Peter it changes again. It's quite good. Am scared cos there are a LOT of things that are getting worse...will not go into it here but let's say I think I might be a bit emotional.

Well you might feel better for sharing them. Don't be scared. They want to help you. :grouphug:

Yeah, that's exactly how I felt about to the lighthouse, far too wordy for my tastes. Although I love Thomas Hardy, so go figure!

Scaredy, I know that feeling, I didn't submit any meter readings for ages cos I thought I was using £10 a month more than the DD, then they read it and I was £90 in credit and they've dropped the DD by £7!

Elfen, it's really good that you have a psych in that situation, I was the same about 6 months ago when I thought I was going manic She was great though. Now I'm the opposite, I think I'm going 'down' again. It's really good just having someone to unburden to knowing that they wont judge you, they'll understand, and know what to do about it. I hope she can help you. And don't forget to keep uni in the loop too, so that they know what's going on and can make allowances.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I know I'm going down, and I'm starting to lose my grip on reality. Some of the stuff that has happened before is happening now.....and some all of the stuff there before is geting a helluva lot worse.

Thought s and feelings need to be aired otherwise like anything else that doesn't breathe they will turn foul and grow things... Crikey I spent a good number of years fantasising about torturing killing someone. If I'd shared I could have saved myself some trouble and heartache...

Elfen, I really don't think they'll lock you up, I think that's a last resort. And even if they do, it'll only be because it's in your best interests and to help you get better.

You're doing amazingly well, it would be surprising if you weren't having a few problems with such a big change as starting uni and things. You're getting the right help and doing all the right things, so you don't have anything to be afraid of from the system.

Blimey my typing's terrible tonight, must be the three glasses of bailey's, they must put cocaine or something in it to make it so addictive!

I know what you mean, I've been seeing things again lately and it's worse than last time. I think I just need a small meds adjustment though As Luc said, they need to be aired otherwise they'll get worse and start taking over. I don't know about your specifics, but I know that's true with suicidal feelings and other problems I've had.

If it's disturbing thoughts, have you tried writing them down? it helps for me, just getting it out of my mind and being able to shut it away. I also find that as I'm writing I rationalise things and everything becomes a bit clearer, I can fight the feelings and thoughts better then.

elfen, look at the BACP site, it tell you about the code of practice for counsellors and psychotherapists. Check if the one you see is accredited, and then check the site. You don't have to tell them anything you don't want to. They are there to listen to you, not judge you.
