  • Well, the game was given away 3 Xmas' ago, when he booked us a cruise on QM2(as a surprise) and when the travel agents rang here with a question for him, and he wasn't in,left a message saying can you call XXXX cruises re your recent booking.....that gave it away.........
TBH,he's not usually that organised....more a Xmas eve sort of emergency shop type bloke...or asks the cabin crew downroute what he should get me.....

Firstly ignore calender months and work out how many weeks until you have to pay. Divide by 4 and that'll give you how many "Ames months" you have to make the full payment.

You absolutely NEED £1750 by the time the course starts so divide that amount by the number of Ames Month to find the minimum you need to put away each Ames Month between now and then, regardless of whether you have an extra £90 available or not. (There's 30 calendar months an 2.5 years which works out to just under £60 a month) Anything over this is a reduction in the amount to be saved for the second installment.

I reckon if you can manage the £60 a month between now and Jan 2011 and can add the full £90 to this from then you should be more or less there.

Let me see... (12 x 60)+ (18 x 150) = 3420 - okay you're 80 quid short when the FIRST payment is due so won't need to stress about the money during the year as well as study for your masters...

Huh - I do all that working out and her lights off!

Aww my DD just had a really bad fall in the kitchen. She landed straight on her knee, on a tiled floor, and can barely walk :(

Hmmmm what to do to help her
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Keep it cool and compressed - wet a bandage and wrap it round. Snug, but not too tight.

    It'll knack tomorrow...

Edit: make sure she hasn't broken anything...

Bag of frozen peas in a tea towel on knee to minimise swelling, a cuddle and a cuppa;)
