  • I'll pass on the biscuits thanks.
It was a good buffet - and lovely to enjoy it without doing anything official. Wine too. ;)

My heating has been on whilst I have been out (Bookie slaps her own wrists) but I'm still cold.

The county office staff go out for a meal at Christmas and my boss and I are invited. It will be £17 for 2 courses, £4.50 for desert.
I decided not to go for obvious reasons but now they want to pay for me - especially as it is my last year and they want me there.

    Mmmm coffee baileys is lush!

Are any of you good at maths? I'm going to start saving for a masters in January but I can't get my head around how much. I need to save around 3.5k. There'll be two and a half years till it starts, when I'll pay half, then another year till I have to pay the other half. To complicate it more, from Jan 2011 I'll have £90 a month free that I'm currently saving towards debts. Oh, and my 'months' are 4 weeks, so there's 13 in a year. I was going to save £100 a month, but that'll be a real pinch, and I think it's a bit too much given that I can increase it in a year.

Pap, isn't that like torturing yourself, so much chocolate when you can't eat it? I know I couldn't do it, so even more kudos to you!

Bookie, go to the dinner! It's their way of showing how much they appreciate you, and after all you've done for them it's only right too.
