    Folks,

Is it the Fixed rate savings issue 9 that is closing ?

I can see no reference to the Fixed Rate Cash ISA issue 9 closing on M&S website

Mentions issue 9 closing here http://money.marksandspencer.com/save-invest/fixed-rate-savings/overview/

    see http://money.marksandspencer.com/save-invest/fixed-rate-savings/more-information/
    Save within a Cash ISA

If you open Fixed Rate Savings as part of an M&S Cash ISA, your interest is fixed – and tax free.
The fix rate saving accounts can be either ISA or non ISA. They both have the same rates and similar conditions with same Issue number.

I sent a transfer form on 15 March to transfer out my Halifax ISA to M&S 3 yr FRISA. The Halifax ISA was closed and sent out to M&S for transfer on 27 March. I haven't heard that it is open yet. Tried phoning on Thursday 1 April but looong wait and wasn't able to.

I'm just looking on the copy of the transfer form that I retained. I indicated with a tick to transfer the entire ISA. Then overleaf in section 5 in the 'Option 3 - Fixed Rate Bond for 3 years' box I wrote '4'. I thought it referred to the interest rate but I see now it refers to the percentage of the transfer. I put a line through all the other options, including the variable rate. Have I cocked it up? Or will they realise what I've done and realise the whole lot is to go to the 3 year fixed ISA?

Also I see this current issue is coming to an end to be replaced by different (presumably lower) interest rates on 6 April. I now have my LTSB ISA available for part transfer. Am I too late to do that now? Clearly 6 April is the first (next) business day and online applications only seem to be for paying in, not transferring.

I'm afraid I wouldn't take it for granted that they'll understand what you meant. I'd definitely ring them to make sure.

Once opened, you can't add to their Fixed Rate ISA, so if you wanted to transfer your LTSB one to them, they'd open another Fixed Rate Bond, which, as you correctly say, would be for the one available from the 6 April. So you'll be able to find out tomorrow what the new rates (and/or terms) will be for that.

Good news. I just managed to get through to M&S today after a looong wait. They have accepted my full transfer so must have realised my !!!! up.

I can't transfer the LTSB ISA to another Issue 9 as there is no way to get the form to them. The next issue out tomorrow is cut back a lot:

    3.25% for the 3 yr a/c
    2.85% for the 2 yr a/c
    2.50% for the 1 yr a/c

No change to the get out T&C though I'm glad to say.

Still I think I'm going to have to find another home, maybe SAGA (if still avail tomorrow) even though their get outs are wickedly high.

I have just received a letter from Lloyds regarding my FRISA which matures on 9th April telling me they have a new ISA rates but can't tell me as I requested no marketing..!

I have to complete a slip to request the information, what a joke, I didn't want a load of marketing crap, but did want to hear about my existing account options when it matures.

Does anyone know what the new interest rate options for Lloyds ISAs are?

I was told on Tuesday that it is 3.3%, but you could phone them on freephone 0800 0150060 and ask.
