I rang them and was told no problem with including 2010/11 subs in the transfer

It def seems that whichever supervisor said to me that it can't be done was mistaken, they must have updated all their staff since then , Pauli

I was told same as oldfella and others that there was no problem in including 2010/11 subscription in the transfer.
When I was filling in the the Transfer form, I phoned up M&S and again queried the bit on the form where it said '2009/10 as the current ISA year' and was told no problems, I put a line through the 2009/10 and wrote 2010/11 as the current tax year.
Got a phone call yesterday from M&S confirming they had received my ISA Transfer form and all was OK, and they would again let me know when the transfer has gone through and they have received the funds from Lloyds.

Put the transfer form in the post on the 19th March, phoned a week later on the 26th but they had not received/processed it but the lady I spoke to took my phone number and said 'she would call me when its up on their system'.
Got a call yesterday to confirm they were in receipt of my Transfer application and they would let me know when the transfer has taken place.

Was looking at this earlier and wondered if you are allowed to transfer out money prior to maturity - keeps mentioning that a withdrawal is possible prior to maturity but with the penalty fee. However, to keep it within the ISA wrapper it would need to be transferred rather than withdrawn...

I think you can read withdrawn as meaning transferred out as well.
  • I posted off my transfer form that I had downloaded, posted it onFfriday and it wasn't received by M&s until the following Thursday.
It was sent 'Freepost', and according to M&S staff I spoke to, that is how long 'Freepost ' takes to arrive!!!!

Don't suppose it matters a great deal on this occasion but I will never use freepost again as next time it may.

I posted my transfer form Freepost on the 15th March and after checking with M&S a week later, they had received it on the 17th March.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Freepost, more likely down to the frequent delays with Royal Mail these days.

    Folks,

Is it the Fixed rate savings issue 9 that is closing ?

I can see no reference to the Fixed Rate Cash ISA issue 9 closing on M&S website
