  • Flash isnt all that yet (abode have something coming soon) as most flash based phones wont play much flash based videos successsfully, i found only annoying flash ads worked which only slowed down web browsing.
My nok 5800 wouldnt play anything successfully which was a proper pc flash based video so gave up.
Wasnt to disappointed as i found the inbuilt browser terribly slow anyway compared to opera mini which worked super quick.
  • Imo the Htc hd2 fone is the closest ur gunna get to an iphone
Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.
  • Love it Darkshadow.

Going into town at the weekend to buy one. Will £800 do for it or should I swing by my bank and take out a loan first?

    Hi

I'm afraid when it comes to the iPhone, there is no such thing as a deal. Whether it be Orange or O2.

Personally I'm a very happy iPhone 3GS (Also had the 3G) but I personally would suggest having a look at the HTC Hero. Does look awesome!
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

Depends how much you are willing to pay!

For less than £200, there is the Tmobile pulse, Nokia 5800, 5530, 5230. ALL of these are smartphones and therefore plenty of apps available. 5800 is a good all rounder, but the camera is rubbish and the browser is rubbish, however everything you expect from Nokia is there (call quality, good speakers, good build quality etc etc). Sub £200 Tmobile pulse is the winner at £150 from tmobile.

More than £200 gets even more interesting - the N900 is the clear winner in this category, however that depends on what type of user you are, if you are a bit techie and know what you are doing then N900 is for you.

But if you just like things to be easy and uncomplicated then Android is for you - i.e. HTC Hero, Motorola Droid, Xperia X10.

Thats not to say that the N900 is difficult to use - but rather that it's more suited to people looking for maximum potential in their devices.
  • I have a HTC Magic on Vodafone which runs on Android and its amazing. Altho I have googlemail so it integrates with that easily. Not sure if it works with MS Exchange. Plus google maps runs quick.

It doesn't do flash but any site that doesn't have pics loads really fast.

The only bad thing is the connection is really unreliable. This maybe a vodafone thing tbh.
