  • The HTC HD2 is a awesome smartphone. Available now via Vodaphone.

We also have the Motorola Droid for 2010. No UK network yet commited. And then there is the N900 which looks amazing. All 3 are better than iphone 3gs.

I have ordered the HTC HD2 on voda. Due mid december as out of stock due to unforeseen demand. lol :) Yes I know its windows but its got a lovely facelift and the 1ghz processor means it flies - unlike previous WinMo. And its ready to be updated with WinMobile 7 which is going to be HUGE!

    Sorted at last.
  • Hi

Can anyone recommend a good mobile phone that does similar things to an iPhone?

My oh would like an iPhone for Christmas but unfortunately we can't have one on our corporate tariff.

    Thanks for your help

I'd second the HTC Hero as a phone that is nearly like an iPhone.
  • The HTC Hero is very good but I would also recommend the HTC HD2. It is a fantastic phone if you dont mind the Windows OS. Its very responsive has a great screen and a Apps store as well.

I have the Samsung Galaxy which is also an android phone, does everything (and more) than an iphone. I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't a very techy person though.

    Hi all

DD1 had an Iphone on contract with O2 that died earlier this year and O2 were about as helpful as a chocolate fire guard and we ended up putting her Sim card in an old phone and downgrading her monthly contract.

She is now out of contract and we had been holding on to see what deals Orange offered and are very disappointed that the contracts are identical as being 18, she uses WAYYYYYYYYYY over 500 texts per month and we hoped that Orange would come up with a more generous allowance.

I have a great deal on a Nokia with Vodaphone - free phone, unlimited texts and mobile downloading and 100 minutes calls for £20 per month but DD1 is adament at the moment that she wants and Iphone . I just wondered if anyone could offer a suggestion of an alternative that I could try and 'sell' to her with a better deal on the texts etc.
