wageslave, it was 'Alpha2' who was ppr'd. Afriend can't now post as his IP address is barred..... due to him having that little bit of fun on a couple of the 'lighter' threads.

It could be a case of mistaken identity . I'm sure there will be enough of us who would miss Afriend's contribution and maybe this can be sorted out in his favour.

    Here's hoping.

Hang on. I wasn't online at all yesterday, and am v confused.

Does that mean that Alpha was Afriend - in spite of the v attractive bull-spitting quote?

Or if not, what is the 'lighter thread' these comments were on?

Alpha was a laugh - Afriend (is it the same person?) seemed to have eaten somethng that disagreed with him or something, as he'd very recently morphed into chucky's kid brother.

(Comments about my sexuality usually spring from that quarter.)

One chucky is enough as far as I'm concerned.

You mean Hugh Fearlesslyeatsitall - the man who cooked up and relished the afterbirth?

It was the slug kebabs that did me.

Can't see an obviously appropriate place to place todays anecdotal so I'll just rant here :o

Bloke came in today moaning about certain aspects of eviction procedures, 'not fair' he can't just turf his 'nightmare tenants' out on the streets- 'that would teach them a lesson'. Anyway, after going on about how he should sue the powers that be for his mortgage costs (tenant stopped paying rent since he unlawfully tried to kick them out), colleague says (trying to sound sympathetic to the w*nker) 'hmmm, it certainly is not a profession I would like to go into' (being a landlord)....

....Mr d!ck looks like he's p!ssed off and doesn't understand, 'yeah, but.... thats what I mean! If it was a proper job like, I wouldn't mind! But it was just supposed to be for the money... now I've got 'tenants rights', and CAB says this...' thrown at me!'

Turns out the lazy ignorant fekker has fallen upon hard times and put his properties on the market and decided they'd be easier to sell without tenants, so decided to just tell them to get out asap :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Thanks for reading,
Yours, frustrated customer services advisor :A

    Sounds like a typical landlord.

Except for the ones on here, who we all know are perfect, selfless dears whose tenants worship the groud they tread on.

    Or something.

Thanks carol. I feel a bit better now! Been carrying that one around with me since lunch time :A

....I mean, he was just completely, utterly thick as fcuk- you know? You just wonder how such a numbskull has a managed to get hold of several properties and be in the position to try and disrupt several peoples/ families lives?

...sorry, I'll stop now- the answer seems to be the process is not in his favour (timescale anyway), which gives me some comfort. :D

    ...T0sser. ...Sorry :o

    Sympathies.

Sadly, there are too many !!!!!! like that around, to whom a tenant (and family) just = a £ sign.

    My rant for the day....

My heating is beggered! Going to have to be a phone call to the HA in the morning..

In the meantime, I have had the tumble dryer going as that produces a little bit of heat, the oven on with the door open and my little electric heater running.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Anyway, now I've got that off my chest :D, I'll change subject, anyone know where I might find a cheap desk with quite a bit of storage/ shelfing? I remember seeing some good solutions in last years ikea catalogue, but the website is quite hard to navigate, so I can't seem to find similar on there ATM...?

Need a home for maybe 100 books, 200 DVDs, 200 CDs, maybe a shelf for several bottles of spirits :o:cool:, the obligatory few photos/ candles/ vases, a naff buddha illegally smuggled out of Thailand, & a tower and monitor?
