I have the hangover from hell, and that coming from me, trust, it really is bad. Any tips (other than don't drink so much - I already figured that one :() ?

Oh, and hope everyone has a lovely valentines day... if you're not on here I presume you must be doing something nice (< yes, I'm the forum saddo) :D

A fry up if you can face it. Lucozade and anadin extra if you can't. Not that anything really works.

Resign yourself to a "lost day".

Fernet-Branca; the comments on the link explain I'm not the only one who knows this works.

(Back in Edwardian times, there used to be a massive trade in such "tonics" from Europe to USA.
Then prohibition came along and someone added cocaine to a brew of loads of sugar and acid and high caffeine. Voila Coca Cola was born).

Now here's something I've had a bit of experience with.
If it's really bad then food's out of the question but you''l need liquids.
Mix desert spoon of honey, lemon juice and soluble paracetamol into a glass of hot water and sip at leisure.
There are scientific reasons for each ingredient which I used to know but with each successive treatment the exact details disappear into a haze of obscurity.
This, over many years, has never failed me yet.
The only thing that is constant is change.

Thanks, I'll remember all that for next time - not that I feel like drinking ever, ever again of course :o - I had no paracetamol so my remedies today were: 1 piece of toast, 1 ibuprofen, 1 pint of water & a long walk along the beach. Seems to have worked OK- just a bit of a headache left & I am looking foward to some pesto spaghetti now :) (never takes me long to get my appetite back )

Happy valentines day everyone! Who got what gifts then? :D

Valentine's gifts? Well, I printed out one of the Tesco Value spoof valentine's cards to give to my wife. The only problem was that she has the only colour printer in the house, and she binned the card before I could give it to her. So, I'm afraid that she's been cardless this year. Also, flowerless as I refuse to pay the silly prices at the moment.

    I'm in the dog-house....
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
