    cellulite is normal..

worry if you get a hairy back or something. Your daughter will get it...and if she's lucky some of your personality. A mixed inheritance. I've been using that L'oreal crud thats been out for ages.... but actually, using it nightly....not just once a week then complaining it doesn't work...it is working a bit... (I'm alco using cling film, which helps too I think....- sorry boys, I know it would be better if it were sjay in clingfilm....)

The stuff with the roller that promises to trim 0.5cm of your thighs in 6 weeks?

It may well work, who has a steady enough hand on the tape measure to be sure

n'ah, less new than that the old gel that you massage upwards on the back of your thighs.....and the yoga of doing that is toning in itself...actually, I've just been rubbing it everywhere,.....who knows? Then I clingfilm myself up for a while......
there are few lows to which I will not sink. I've never epilated though....I think it might be next.

It only says something about you on that day in that mood...not you as an entire thing...You cannot be defined by any item of clothing, or outfit. Thats the joy of womanhood...and I think you get this next bit...we are women....we wear different costumes, we can different people to those who come across us....we are a red lipstick, even if we never wear it, as much as we are a carefully painted nude face of make up. That last one is the most crucial...we paint our selves to look natural. I think its harder for women to be open books by our nature. Even those who decry that kind of womanhood are born from a tradition of it.......they do the the same thing...they paint emotion and politics on a nude face...opting out makes a statement, even a whispered one.

With or without your permission, I will steal that.

You have no idea how moved I am. That sounds soft and meaningless and middle class. I mean it.

I collect words, phrases. They keep the brat and me in relative comfort.

I know you want me to feel what you said on an emotional level and I really do. But fu cking hell girl, keep it up. Between you and Mewbie I don't ever need to think again

I don't know whether to squeal with delight that you think something I said is worth stealing, or that I am ranked along side mewbie.

    I do understand words.

Mewbie wrote one thing in two years that made me sit up and take notice, the rest of the shallow sh it dont matter. I am grateful for the one thing.

    You just wrote another.

It is not as though I am not charmed by Cleaver and Mr B and Afriend and all the rest. I am.

I am just grateful for the extraordinary

That is outstanding flattery and flirtation of the most dangerous sort.

I don't know what to make of it. If anything.

(edit...how often do I have to say we don't know yet about the boots?....if the shoe fits, wear it)

I don't like being taller than most blokes when I go out in heels- makes me feel like a tranny! But if I don't wear heels I feel frumpy...

I thought you'd be tall ws....
sjay, I feel like a giant in my family....and I'm taller than DH in lots of shoes (he's a couple of inches taller in our bare feet) but I've kind of got used to it. TBF I wouldn't wear huge platforms out with him ( I have some amazing shoes that make me taller than every man in the room, and going to the loo makes one feel like a gnome on a toadstool...they don't get out of the box now...but not sure they would anyway) but ''normal'' heels....never kittens heels, I'm a proper heel girl....we just don't mind. I didn't marry him for his height.....

Tall? You're not tall. Neither of you.

You obviously don't hang around with properly tall men!

I speak with great knowledge on height related matters.

My dad is 6 ft 2. I'm taller than him with some of my old shoes on. Its not about height barefoot for a girl. Shoe size and leg stamina. Thats what makes you tall.

Thats half the reaon I started reading the original sub-board as it was, the subjects were interesting, but the writing here is so different to the rest of MSE - then me & Graham turned up and ruined it :D
