For the male fashion police, who I absolutely guarantee, live in tatty jeans and trainers.

    I actually bought these........

Direct from Bertie and much cheaper.

    Should I cancel?

No, get them home, try them on decide. You get time to send them back if you change your mind. The crucial thing is how they look ON YOU. You just can't tell till you see them on, no matter what anyone says. ;)

Since you spend your evenings esconced in your wife's dressing gown scoffing KFC you will forgive me if I don't pay half as much attention to your opinion as I do to LIR

Buy the beautiful boots and starve yourself into them. I have been shockingly fat in the past, and when all else fails, I recommend a diet of carrots and diet coke.

You will feel like !!!! but everyone will tell you how wonderful you look.

I don't know one woman who is happy with her weight. Every friend I have has some kind of borderline eating disorder. Either I am seriously unlucky or every woman in the western world is the same. Weight has become the equivalent of bound feet in the 21st century.

You are about the luckiest person I have come across. You have found someone who loves and accepts you and I can't even imagine finding that. You are a fine woman LIR and it heartens me that you have a happy life. It sort of proves that decent people triumph.

I still recommend carrying a bag of diced carrots everywhere.

You are a doll, and I am VERY, very lucky, you are right

    I've deleted the rest.

    Still talking fashion?

Got up at stupid o'clock this morning to do some more dress browsing... found one... a farhi pencil/ silk/ shift thing.... went to buy it... then chickened out.... then changed mind.... so went back to buy it when I got home..... GONE. Gutted :(

I don't go much for flat boots ws, as my legs are too chunky to pull it off, but they do look good on long slender pins (IMHO) :)
