It's a monday morning, & it is a sunny morning here in the midlands icon7.gif

I'm actually horrendously sad, owing to reasons that some posters on here will be well aware of. I am actually dreading bumping into Inspector Monkfish :o

I spent all sunday putting together a bike for my friends 2yo. His birthday is just before christmas. A little swearing did occur, however all is pretty much resolved now!

Love the idea of a thread where we post the pictures we have formed of each other!

ooooo! thought of another joke - what have captain kirk, & toilet paper got in common?

    Both wipe out klingons! :D

    I'll get me coat....

For those of us who don't have a clue what you're on about, can you let us into the secret?

Sorry if I'm being horrendously tactless.

IM didn't seem the overly sensitive type.

    My team lost.
IM can be merciless in his ribbing. I give as good as I get though! :D
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Quite nice here now but was absolutely chucking it down just before and during school run....eldest had to ring me to bring him in another pair of trousers as his were soaked from the walk to school.

** Just thought I better explain in case you all think I am nasty and making him walk in the rain, he prefers to walk and he had an exam first thing...we wouldn't have been able to get him there in the car on time even if he had accepted my offer.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Yes, no beasts on mine yet, but it is instructive to see what is happening and where there is more than a desirable amount of lying water.

We are pretty much on the top of a ridge, so it never occurred to me that our front garden might contain a pond, but there it is. Like your winterbourne, it won't be there beyond spring, but right now it's deep enough to go over my wellies!

At last we have had the rain stopped. We copped for the most rain in the country. Bitterly cold and blowing a gale. Quietly working from home I heard what sounded like wild banging at the front door. Quite worried me. Looked out of the window and the chap opposite was messing around with his hideous 4x4. The darn thing was back firing like mad. Hope he gets it going as the cost of a full tank will probably get Dubai back on its financial feet again.

This is a thread for nice people who wish to talk nicely to each other about the subjects of house prices, the economy and recession.

All discussion of previous emnities, things poster a said to poster b on another thread that really narked them off weeks ago and they've bookmarked it, and similar, are BANNED. All references to exactly who poster a is and whether poster b actually used to post under a different name, are likewise BANNED.

On the other hand, jokes, references to local weather conditions, attractive famous people who rock your boat, and recipes are WELCOME.

References to chocolate at least once per page are COMPULSORY.

So that's sorted out then. :)

Does this mean this is the correct place to wish PasturesNew a happy birthday?

Happy birthday PN and may you receive lots of chocolate cake some time soon
