Help ! Need emergancy moral support. "Someone" has left a load of muffins in the office kitchen. I had lunch an hour ago and I am desperate for one!!
I know I'll regret it if I give in....
Also try engaging brain and will power to push that muffin out of your mind, it's all in the mind, push out that 300-400 calories of nothing that does you any good. In an hour when the sugar rush is crushed by the bodies insulin, the blood sugar crashes and you want food again!!!!0 -
I know its disgusting....but it works.0

Hi all! Just popping in to say hello because I haven't posted much on this thread so far this month. December hasn't exactly got off to a great start for me in terms of losing weight. I haven't weighed myself since the beginning on the month, but I have been over-indulging and at the weekend my "thin" jeans felt tighter than ever  TBH I think I'm going to chicken out and avoid weighing myself until January. At the moment, I'm trying to concentrate on eating healthily in the run up to Christmas without obsessing over every single thing I'm eating. Also, I'm trying to keep up with exercising although this will be difficult with the children off school from this Friday.
Hope everyone is having a better month than me

Nicky, is there something you can do with the children? After all, its great for them to get exercise too! Swimming? Brisk walks somewhere nice? Can you kick a ball with them?0 -
In November this year I was able to start wearing some Levi 501 jeans I have not worn since I was about 25 - 14 years and 4 inches of waist size ago!
Technique, some will power (not as much as you think with the right technique) and time will get you there.
Wow! I am impressed. You must have felt fantastic getting back into them. Like you said, willpower is very important.
I work for a small company and this year instead of a Christmas meal, we´re going out for tapas. I plan to have some fruit or a yoghurt before I go out so I won´t be ravenous and I will try not to have anything too calorie-laden. I love wine and that is probably where most of the extra weight has come from so I am only drinking Friday-Sunday now, although as it is our Christmas meal, i have decided to allow myself a couple of glasses of wine and then not drink wine Friday evening.0 -
That sounds super sensible Valentina :T Hope you have a lovely time at the meal and aren't too tempted by all the delicious tapas.
I'm convinced that cutting right back on alcohol has really helped my weight loss. It's not that I used to drink a lot, or very often, but I barely have anything now, only really a glass of wine once a week or on special occasions. Does anyone want to scare me with the calorie content of a pint of cider? I used to love drinking that and I haven't dared touch it since I started the diet.0 -
