I am down to 131.6lbs (9st 5.6lbs) this week, 2.1lbs off yay!!!!!!!!! It's a result of a huge row with OH and we haven't spoken for 4 days though. But there is a silver lining - at least I haven't been comfort eating! I tend to go off my food in an emotional crisis. Here's hoping I can keep it off.

Just off to read the rest of the posts I've missed xo

Make up, and use it to get some exercise. ;) you'll lose even more weight and be happier;)

Rubbish about the row but excellent news about the weightloss :T What's your target Tara? 9st 5lb seems awfully thin to me!

I feel a bit full of doom this week as regards the diet. I've been so so busy at work and then the evenings and weekends have all been jam-packed with stuff to do that food's sort of slipped down the priority list. And when I'm not thinking so much about it then that's when higher calorie meals start to sneak in. Also TOTM so feel bloaty and sugar-craving and horrible. Bleurgh :(

    Poor you. FWIW, me too.

Perhaps think up a list of very quick, easy and diet friendly meals?

For me its poached or fried egg....at the moment on crumpet, but usually on spinach, for DH on toast. With an apple and a yogurt perhaps. :)

Keeping some soup in the house is a good idea too...I'm afraid I'm really fussy about tinned soup, but there are some good fresh soups, all you have to do is heat them up...

baked potatos...shove in oven, have a bath, have it slob style on the sofa....with some natural yourt or a measured amount of cheese or coleslaw.

ETA: in the supermarket, me, a virtual quenn of cooking from scratch with an Italian husband...so I should be shot twice over...did notice that there are some surpisingly low calorie pizzas for those ''must have carb/stodge'' days. Check out the childrens sized ones...with a salad you can redeem yourslef slightly. ;)

I have two nice pairs of trousers in my wardrobe that I´d love to wear but I can´t do them up so I have hung them up so I can see them and then it´s even more of an incentive to lose weight.
In November this year I was able to start wearing some Levi 501 jeans I have not worn since I was about 25 - 14 years and 4 inches of waist size ago!
Technique, some will power (not as much as you think with the right technique) and time will get you there.

Winter blues seems to be getting some of us down a bit :(

I had a naughty weekend foodwise at a party (3 Champagne, 3 wine, 2 deserts :o:o:o). Redressing the balance with low calorie soups and some 85 calorie a slice wholemeal bread that's an improvement on the weight watchers stuff. The scales have been kind to me though, no weight increase showing but I know I wouldn't get away with it if I kept doing it all the time.

I think I'm sort of doing my own head in a bit by balancing out the naughty meals with porridge for breakfast and lunch. I know it's not a sustainable way to go on as it's getting very boring but I'm trying madly to offset the calories. Another party tomorrow night as well :(

I am really wanting poached eggs on toast now though, mmmmm. Thanks lir, might have that for dinner tonight and see if it will last me through the evening. If not, it's low enough cal that I can have a bit of grilled chicken or something if I get peckish later on.

I have discovered something delicious from M&S that might help with people struggling with party snacks though - the pack of 6 thai roll things (half mango salad, half spicy prawn - from the lunchtime range) with sweet chilli dipping sauce is only 30 calories! Ok so they're not very big but they taste lovely and I'd rather have lots of them than try and restrict myself to one or two pigs in blankets. There are two other selections as well.

The Paul McKenna trick is to imagine biting into it, and chewing and finding something disgusting, like a ball of some one elses hair in it, and really imagine the hair getting into your mouth, between your teeth, under your tongue...seriously...you'll leave the muffin:o

Ewwwwww that IS disgusting. Might just work though if the gallons of coffee I'm drinking don't!

    Thanks (I think!:o)

Guess I'd better read that Paul McKenna thread. Funnily enough I spotted his book in Smith's at lunchtime.
