Its a clear day here The Dragon...if it is ther, get by a window, if you can.
Just wondering if, considering mobilty etc, frsh air and Vit D might really be as big a part as sunlight for you? I think its worth you considering everything in attempt to be more comfortable and as happy as you deserve to be.
Its my official weigh day. Do you think they'll let me do the ''Best weight scales waltz'' at the doctors? No? Humph.0 -

Well done! I am surrounded by temptation so it is good to hear a success story. Someone "kindly" brought in huge tins of Roses which have been left in the kitchen at work...
The OH isn't much help either. He knows that I am on a diet so why did he choose THIS week to stock up on some of my favourite cheeses? ( which I have resisted). I almost cracked though when he started to watch Gordon Ramsey.0 -

Cheese would be tempting. But I did have some yesterdayOn my potato...and at the weekend. DH loves to eat cheese just before bed (for crazy dreams:rolleyes:).
In fact, I had a lovely chocolate at the weekend, one from an expensive box that DH brought home for me from the office in a tupperware :rotfl:. For me roses aren't special enough to fold for.....they aren't handmade, or only available at this time of year...
I have a fancy meal on Sunday and I'm starting NOW to ''save'' calories. Just a hundred/150 a day. It might not be ideal, but its the only way I can think to work it. On Sunday I'm also going to go for a longer walk than usual, to try and burn some more. I'm going to leave some of each course (DH and I refer to food left on the plate as ''Paul McKenna''...i.e....''I left Paul there, on the plate''or ''Are you eating that or is it Paul McKenna?'' ) .
Amanita, could you have, for example, a little cheese and an apple after a very light soup, for supper? If you work it out to be right calorifically, its fine.0 -

Me neither really but they are there and I have to walk past them to get to the coffee machine. Need I say more <sigh>. Fortunately the secretaries have finished the tin but judging by last year there will be several more!lostinrates wrote: ».

Well yes I could but I know me. If I let myself start then I won't stop and I'm being a bit naughty and crash dieting this week. If I can shift 5lb then I will fit into the dress I want to wear next week OK. I do have more to lose but I am happy to let that come off more sensibly.
I do admire those who can stop after one chocolate or a small piece of a favourite food. The only way I can do this is to make sure that there are none around me and that I keep myself very busy in the evenings so I don't nibble!! Open packs of stilton and brie in the fridge is sheer torture!0 -
Morning all
Well despite the work Christmas meal last night (and the bottle of wine I drank), I've still lost 2lbs this week :j All the calorie saving during the week has clearly worked, hurrah! And lots of people said how good I was looking which is lovely and rather spurs me on a bit more.
lir - so pleased for you
Amanita - I'm exactly the same. I can't do one sweet or one biscuit, it always ends up being the whole pack. So for the time being, I just don't have them at all.0
