Thanks Nervousmother, I am very close to going public proper with this-I cant believe this, I really can't.

I have so little surplus I don't pay an IPA-and won't be able to afford the additional council tax-my surplus is literally £20-and that is honestly, after just paying absolute basic bills and groceries. I use £15 a month for the internet-I have a pre paid dongle-so I guess that will have to go :(

Thanks Mich, I will look into that :)

Doll, NR paid for the HIP pack-makes it worse as that was basically saying go ahead and sell!!!!!!

What can be done!! anyone? An undischarged bankrupt who has been left with solicitors fees, has next to no surplus and has no money to pay anything. What can be done for Kerry??
  • Talk to the solicitor, explain the situation to them.. tell them you thought they would get paid but as NR have blocked the sale you stuck. They may come to a arrangement and put the debt on hold or pay £5 per month until your in a better position, I know its not ideal to basically beg for help but they may let you off with the entire bill..

Kerry, just rest your bump and let them get on with it. Call and check in at end of week, they cannot pick and choose who they repo and when.

Enough of their rubbish, take care of bump and they can go to hell.

Those fools paid for yours but I had to pay for mine:mad::mad::mad:

You see? how inconsistent is that? it just goes to show how it depends on the blasted weather if you get a good'un on the phone or not.

for example, I spoke to an absolute drongo last week, if he had of been face to face with me I would have knocked him the **** out! He was so rude and cocky

Today was a better bunch, one almost felt human, and the woman I spoke to was actually able to apply some common logic as opposed to just asking me if I was 'in a position to clear the arrears today?'

Northern Rock have now REFUSED to allow the sale to proceed, REFUSED to commence Repossession proceedings and are REFUSING to tell me what I can do to get them to co operate. I have spent 2 hours in the manchester branch today, I have spoken to Doxford department-nothing!!!!

I want to publicise how I am being treated, how the tax payer will now not only have to cough up for my mistakes, but that NR are doubling the cost to the tax payer. I feel bad enough having gone BR without this.

All help, advice and knowledge appreciated.

I want to name and shame Northern Rock

    Hi Kerry

The NR really don`t know what they are doing. I was in almost the same situation back in Feb.

Keep plugging away...can your solicitor call NR for you & explain the exact situation to them?. If you are in a position to exchange contracts then the solicitor can confirm that too.

I am concerned that the stress factor alone ( 7 mths pregnant) is causing you clear distress....which is obvious from your posts here.

If NR still refuse then instruct them to put the case over to their solicitors asap without delay...( they don`t need anything signed by you to do that...I didnt sign anything) & hopefully that should hasten the repo process.

Right, I've been thinking about all this and trying to see a way forward. I cant! My wife was 8 months pregnant when we moved out in april so I know how stressful this is. My advise of what I would do would be this.

1, Just put your feet up and get your OH to do the bloody running round and the stress calls! Its not for you to worry about. He just needs to lie to you and say its sorted!
2, get the BR fees together, beg and borrow the money or use any remaining credit and get him BR as soon as possible.
3, Have you moved house? if so, great. Enjoy and feather the nest.
4, stop communication with NR, they will repo in the end, its up to them how long it takes, mine was 6 months after I told them to "get ****ed, the house is there if they want to take it" End of communication. Get them to take your numbers off the system as they have to legally remove them if you request it.
5 CTax arrears from feb at 50% rate will probably only be 2 or 3 months. Use the I cant pay method, they might CCJ you, but at court you will be given time to pay. If you have no surplus and BR they might throw it out on hardship grounds or they will give you time to pay, £1 a week. The court cant take what you haven't got.
6 Soliciters fees, again dont pay. They will have to go to court for a CCJ. You should not have been allowed credit as a BRso it may get thrown out, if not let the court decide did NR screw you over? if so they may throw it out. Worst comes to the worst you have to pay. Again as a BR with no surplus they cant take anything £1 a week nominal payment. CCJ's dont really matter in the grand scheme as your BR will be showing on your credit rating anyway

BLOODY GOOD LUCK, THERE IS NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO, BALLS TO THEM ALL AND REST UP AND ENJOY THE LAST FEW WEEKS OF PREGNANCY. You wont have time to worry when the baby is here. PS get your OH sorting this ASAP

Thank you so much cash waster, for Kerry it must be all consuming at the minute, even I was doing the hoovering fuming at the way NR are treating her. If it does get to CCJ stage will that disappear with the BR, i.e. is a CCJ no worse than BR anyway.

Some really good advice, and yes, a new BR should never have been allowed to rack up more debt through trying to sell a house when made bankrupt - there's a loophole there I think and that is not fair at all.
