No I haven't. But I don't understand why I shoul have to carry my laptop around with me (it weighs almost 3kg) just so I'm a level playing fiels with everyone else - ie, I can do my work.

Because that is life. Life is unfair. Least you are able to see something.

I know people who are blind and they have had to drag special equipment around so they could pass their university courses. One of them even had to have a note taker in lectures and a scribe for exams. Which sounds fine until I found out one of the scribes pulled out at the last moment.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

A lot of the issues to do with disability are also to do with the individual and their knowledge of rights and law. They should not have to drag equipment around as, within the law, this would be unreasonable (and bloody heavy!).

Unfortunately with scribes etc universities have little control - it is often difficult recruiting people to do this and when they pull out at last minute there is little that can be done. However all universities have an extenuating circumstances process and they would take such circumstances into account

But that's different. Everyone needs a computer/laptop to do their work on - not everyone needs CCTV monitors. (and no, leaving in uni overnight isn't an option - I have work I need to do at home)

Your laptop is not that heavy. I have the same size laptop and have a laptop bag for it and it's fine

Have you said anything to uni yet?

My laptop ALONE is 3kg. Plus I need to carry around my charger plus some uni stuff. As someone with shoulder problems, it IS heavy.

You keep registering with different usernames but with the same question! The answers aren't going to change just because you change your name!

My question still stands, have you spoken to the uni yet?

I've emailed my programme leader who is aware that I am having issues regarding accessibility.

Reading through your post history, I see that your sight problem is nystagmus, which is unusual enough to make me sure I'm right.
It was your questions about large screen laptops/monitors that you have asked several times before. I'm sure someone else will remember your previous usernames - anyway, welcome back!
