Morning All
I've paid £440 to nasty debt this month which brings me up to 24.33% of debt paid. Every month so far I've had something major to pay - this month my washing machine died but unlike previous years the debt hasn't gone up which is thanks to these boards and the helpful peeps on them. Thank you:jDEBT FREE 27 July 2011:j

Well the problem is although w hav a good amount of excess there's some diy jobs that need to be done and they will take sone of the cash and well I find the home runs me down as it is so I get in debates about diy and paying off debts with spare cash I don't know what to do...:-/I AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Morning all.....
I've been awol from this challenge for a few months as I found myself suddenly in a game where the goalposts had been moved somewhat.....ie OH upped and left me with the mortgage, and the remaining debt, all to sort out...
So, although I am more or less back to minimum payments, which means that my aim of being debt free by christmas is going to fall somewhat short, I am back and happy to report that I have paid £866 off the capital owing today, taking my total paid for the challenge so far to just over £5k.
I've not kept up to date much with this thread, so hope everyone is ok, and plodding on with those payments!

Hi Hypno, sorry to hear about your situation. Sounds like you are keeping your chin up though. Well done on making those min payments, anything is better than nothing and even better than adding to debt!
Is your OH contributing to house/children etc? I assume some of the debts are his/joint? xxPaying down the mortgage:

Paid £40.10 off CC but can't really count it as it's replacing money spent on the card since I started the challenge. Still, it's going in the right direction! Please call me 'Pickle'
