Absolutely - this isn't a FB thing at all. All he's done is copied and pasted an email into a FB personal message.

If he is saying it has come through facebook to him, ask him to forward you the email you get from facebook which tells you you have a message which also has the contents and who from too.

Unless he has them switched off?

    Dont get involved.

You dont know what the motivations or agendas are that lie behind it.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

I agree with Kiki - don't get involved. If it's genuine, then it's up to your ex to sort it out with Facebook or the sender.

If (as seems more likely) it is from your ex, then it's best just to nip it in the bud by ignoring it or just send a neutral "hope you sort it out" response.

    Hiya :)

It's not a FB message - the guy got an email from an unknown address, and copied into a FB message so the email address can't be seen.

Someone, somewhere is playing games. Stay out of it, OP. :)

He hasn't confirmed how it came to him either Facebook or Hotmail but if he does ill get him to forward the Facebook email as well.

Apologies - I thought you had said he copied and pasted from hotmail!

No. you cannot forward an email from Facebook in Facebook (but if he has email notifications turned on he would have got copy of the email in his hotmail account) which is why if he received it from someone who had just set up Facebook account to send the message he would have had to have copied and pasted it to show me if he had email notifications turned off. If he does not have them turned off or it came staright into his Hotmail account then easiest thing would have just been to forward into my hotmail account from his. This is what makes me suspicious.

  • I agree that you would probably be best to just leave it, However if you don’t think you would be able to do that, then get your ex to forward email to you and maybe you could get some advice from the Whiz Kids in the Techie stuff forum about tracing email route.

Someone's playing mind games. OP, I should keep your head down and don't get involved if I were you.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
