Definitely I know... paid £440 I think for him, £230 on first MOT, £120 on second and £110 on third = £900 minus the hundred = £800 for three years motoring, give or take the odd light bulb, he's done me well. I hope the new one's as cheap to run!

Good to see you're looking more actively for a house - no news on the one you were waiting on? We'll be stepping up our game when we get back from Italy - I want out!

Poor Bluey. I got a bit emotional when they took my little Punto away.

That is good about the money though, will be nice to have a new stereo.

We finished cleaning the old flat last night so am just getting the last few bits after work tonight and then that is it eek we are in the new flat. Our wardrobes and bed frame are getting delivered in the next hour apparently but no mattress for a couple of weeks.

Glad it's not just me Wendz! Will you feel emotional leaving the flat?! It's been all change lately. No mattress though, what will you do? Does the one you use now belong to you or the flat?

Farewell Bluey! I think it's okay to get emotional, I was the same with my (very)old car - I feel like I just haven't bonded with my new one as it's too new(?!) but I feel like it's responding to its new name, Magnus. Hurrah!

Very exciting about the flat Wendz! And yay to your house savings Flower! I bet you can't wait to have your own place again.

Tete, at least you've got a fab break to look forward to and then you can get serious about saving up/looking around when you get back. You sound frustrated!

Hi Poddle, LOL that's a class name. Sorry for the absence on the wibbly bums thread, I have been ahem shall we say - eating everything in sight? I've been on jury duty and sat in a big waiting room for 5 days out of 6. The only thing keeping me sane was snacks... eek!

Still being worked on - would love to get that one as it seems to be everything we want, but i dont know how long i am prepared to wait for it. Saying that though, nothing else really seems to be grabbing my attention - fingers crossed something will come up soon!

Tete I'd be emotional too I got upset when our old car got sold. But getting money for it helps! I don't have a name for our corsa (I want a name though!) but OH's smart car is 'The Beast'. I like Gillie and Gus for your new car. Magnus is a great name!

It does seem like these things happen in little waves, so it's always worth keeping an eye out - we do, and we're not even supposed to be thinking about moving!

Haha, OK I can see where you got that impression now! But that was only mild frustration, not as bad as I've been experiencing in the last few weeks! Flower at least you have that house to sort of fall back on if nothing else comes up in the meantime. Had an email from Rightmove this morning with a few interesting looking places, nothing I want to view particularly but made me feel better.

Zig you totally have to name your car! I'm still pondering on Grey... Bought a snazzy CD player last night which should arrive tomorrow and be in by the weekend. The ones with red or green lights were £20 cheaper but in the name of Martin I didn't like them and at the end of the day I'll be looking at it every day for a good few years, so I think the extra £20 was money well spent.



Lara sounds like you're having a boring old time! I've always wanted to do jury duty but the only time I was called up I was studying in France and had to defer it. Are you allowed to take your book into the waiting room or anything?

Did a bit more of my dress for sewing class last night but it's looking a little bit puffy somehow *sigh* I had thought it was going quite well too.
