OK work seems a little better today so I might actually be able to make some headway and have a lunchbreak and not have people crying down the phone at me today which will be nice. OH brough me some lovely daffodils last night too which cheered me up no end :) They're so happy-looking!

I also really want to do a review today as I'm seriously lagging on Birdie's challenge!

    - Put money in bank
    - Buy cat food
    - 2 reviews
    - 2 reviews to Ciao
    - Make card

That'll do as I have sewing class tongiht and don't get in til late.

Waiting for my car fund to clear in my account before I can buy breakdown cover so fingers crossed nothing goes wrong with bluey the next couple of days!

After buying petrol later I have about £50 left to last me til the 26th, not gonna happen I fear! Hoping to go for a walk at the weekend and to one of the free National Trust things so should hopefully be quite cheap but I realised this morning that it's Dad's birthday on Monday and I don't know what to get him! Any ideas gratefully received!!

Meant to say as well, we did a drive-by of that house that was in the nice area but suspiciously cheap ... there was a gang of kids on skateboards outside and the next-door house had particularly dirty and shabby looking net curtains up and there's a pub directly opposite ... hmm ...

Been to bank and paid in £25 of £2 and 2p coins so now have £258.72 in the MOF, (just) over a quarter of the way there! Not too sure how long it'll last though as I think I'm a bit short for money this month ... that said though I have about £20 in the Loose Change pot which is tagged onto my CA, I'd rather dip into that than the MOF ... at least I've got a little bit of a buffer... Also got some more coppers to go into the MOF, not sure how much, about £10 I think, so hopefully even if I DO have to dip into it, I might be able to do so without taking it below 25%...

That place doesn't sound too great Tete. You want to live somewhere you like, no point in paying less and hating it!

I am equally poor and I have to wait a whole 4 more days than you to get paid arghh!

OH and I are going house/flat hunting tomorrow so hopefully we will find something.

It's in a fantastic area Flower, just not best placed in that area!!

Good luck for tomorrow Wendz, even if you don't find anything it's always nice to have a nosey in other people's houses :D

    Hey Tete

Sorry to hear work is stressy at the moment, hope it gets better soon. The MOF is coming along really well - how exciting! Reckon the best way to check out that place is to go and have a drink in the pub - see what it feels like when you're leaving about 10:30 - 11pm?

Good luck with your house hunting too Wendz. Hope you find something really nice.

    Me too.. :D

You're doing great Tete with your MOF, good luck stretching the pennies til payday! I get paid Friday and I can't wait! Petrol is costing me a fortune.

Good luck Wendz with the house hunting! I have finally realised that it is more sensible that we look for flats in a decent area, rather than houses in an ok area. I just really wanted a house! :o

It is a good idea, but I think it's a bit of a local old man's type pub! My ex is from this particular village and we never ever went to drink in there! We have a couple of days off next weekend so might look at setting up viewings on all the places we've been sort of looking at, just for a nosey.

Tell me about it! A few months ago it cost me £28 to fill my tank and last night it came to £35 - gah!

That's half the problem for us - I get the feeling OH would be quite happy in a flat but I really really want for us to have outside space - this is going to be a long term rental til we move away and I want to be happy there. The thing is, we're looking at old, character type places and a lot of them are terraced with only a tiny yard ... we don't want much do we?!
