I think they were just as daft and annoying as each other!

OH would be completely useless with me. He'd get bored, restless, grumpy and annoyed with me for taking so long and he'll probably turn green and faint when it actually comes out! I'm interested in the water birth too CMD, is that something you're contemplating? Not long now for you, only about a week, right?!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Yeah, would love a water birth but there is only one pool in the hospital so will have to see if it is available. If I have to be induced I don't think they would allow me in it either. Yes, I have just over a week until the due date. Am really enjoying being in maternity leave and spending time with my OH.

They recommend having a bag for your OH for the hospital with computer consoles (hand held), mags, books and food to keep them occupied as it can last a while.

I think my OH will be great - but only since we took the hypnobirthing class. Before that he was very nervous but now he is calm and very exicted!

  • My hairdresser earlier is due in six weeks and she said she watched that prog and wished she hadn't!

And talking of annoying husbands, my SIL's husband is known for being a bit daft, and when she was in labour with their first baby he was sitting there complaining about a wicklow (sp?) he had on his finger and how much it was hurting - he had to be banned from the room!

Well done Tete! Are you off to Edinburgh tomorrow? :j

I wish I'd had a 2 day week! I'm getting a bit fed up of my job - it's a lovely place to be, but I'm sick of providing lunches and taking minutes! My contract has been extended until end June, which is fine, but today they were discussing ways to keep me on after that, and it fills me with dread! I think I've passed the "just grateful to have a job" stage and now I'd quite like something more fulfilling and with career prospects!

I bet you're looking forward to a romantic birthday weekend now! Sounds perfick, even in a Travelodge :D

  • Better to be in that position and looking for a different job though Poddle than unemployed altogether! I know what you mean though, mu job involves a fair bit of meeting organising and byt the time my manager's been in and said 'we want this, this, this and that...' she may as well have done it herself!

Edinburgh was lovely, mostly, we went for a wander on the Royal Mile and by the castle and went to Mary King's Close which was fab, and to a v posh restaurant on the evening which was also fab (tho my much coveted and rejoiced new Coast dress is very static indeed and stuck to my legs so don't think I can wear it again :(). Problem was, I didn't realise Travelodges don't let you leave your bags there if you arrive prior to check-in so on Thursday we had to pay £10 for an early check in rather than cart our bags about with us, and then on Friday I realised I'd booked the return journey for the 12th March not the 12th Feb, so we had to pay extra to get our tickets changed and the left luggage at the station would have been another £14 on top, so we ended up cutting our trip short a bit. Was a fab day though :)

Off to the dogs tonight, there are 12 races on so we're going to do joint bets of £1.50 each race ... apparently you can go and pet the dogs after they've ran too :):):)

Glad you had a nice time in Edinburgh. How very annoying though about the extra money thing and having to cut the trip short.

Have fun at the dogs, hope you win!
  • Glad you had a good time Tete. Did you make to Monster Mash or The Shore?

Glad you had a nice time in Edinburgh!

How are the plans for moving in with OH going? OH and i are planning on viewing a house on the 24th of feb with that housing company we were looking at before. £500 a month rent for 3 bedroom house in the area we want, new kitchen and bathroom and is in the process of being completely redecorated.
Theres not many houses around here that suit our criteria at the minute so we are keen to go for this one if we like it.

Have worked out we could do the move with £1500, and when i get paid we should have £1000 in savings so if we are really frugal i hope we can do it!

Glad you enjoyed Edinburgh despite luggage hassle! Ooh, did your OH treat you to a posh dinner?

Flower, that sounds promising! Would you plan to live just with your boy? Or share? Sounds v reasonable though just for the two of you!

Did anyone do anything nice today? I got breakfast in bed and flowers... yesterday... so slightly wrong day, but nice all the same!
