Hey Tete, that sounds great - reckon you did loads! It's nicest just to mooch around a city I think, soaking up the atmosphere. LOL at McDonalds though. Ooo Billy Elliot sounds good, might see if I can rope a few friends into that sometime soon. It's a pain on the tube, isn't it, it always seems to take almost an hour to get anywhere. Glad you had a great time, and a nice treat for your OH too after all his college work :)

  • Okey Dokey, have been having a play with the calculator ... I seem to have minimal outgoings in January, so if I put £300 in the OD that will bring it down to £298ish and leave me with about £85 per week after all bills and petrol ... I'm going to go for it!

Actually we quite enjoyed the McD's - ages since I've had one and I was shovelling it in after the walking we'd been doing!

Billy Elliot is full of swearing mind, but it's soo funny. It was nostalgic for my OH as he's from the pit village next to the one where it's set and his dad was a miner and he can remember them all being on strike.

  • OK, so I've trekked across the frozen tundra to the bank and waited in the queue to pay it in so that it would show straight away and I'd know where I am! Now stands at -£298.54 :D Just hoping that I don't have to dip into it at the end of the month! Now to start thinking about how to get the rest paid off by 12th Feb...

Looks like you are very busy!
  • Hi, hope everyone's had a lovely Christmas! I've had a very nice time seeing friends and family and looking forward to spending the rest of this week off with OH (though he's at work this morning which is how I have time to come on here!). I got homely pressies - a sewing machine and a food mixer, and some monies - some of which I've already spent on perfume and walking gloves, and some which I'm saving for I don't know what.

I've just checked my internet banking and have worked out I have about £80 per week spends after all DDs and petrol etc so hopefully that should be manageable - I might even have some left over by payday to throw at the OD.

Been having a bit of a think about my 2010 challenges and I'm thinking rather than doing a voucher challenge I might just do an 'extra money earned' challenge - that way I can include things like Bingo Britain and Ciao - still need to decide on a figure for this though!

I want to spend less time worrying about moneymaking though and make myself more time-efficient all round, getting more my work work done more quickly by not fannying about on the internet, so I can spend the last hour of the day doing reviews and have the evening free, that sort of thing.

THe extra money challenge sounds like a good idea, you could do your own tae on the ten pounds a day challenege, set youself a target each month or for the year or something.

Mkaing yourself more time efficient sounds like a good idea too, hope it works out for you!

Thanks Wendz, I'll need to do some sums to work out what'll be doable from dooyoo etc. That's for another day! No winnings on BB today but I remain hopeful now that I have some idea how it works. As long as I get my initial £5 back I'm not too bothered! Has anyone been on Bingoport much since it changed?

I'm thinking for extra money target:
    - Dooyoo
    - Ciao
    - Bingoport
    - Bingo Britain
    - Starting scratchies
    - Starting surveys
    - Starting clicks
    - Quidco
    - Might count my £2 coins as these always go towards debt/savings

Anyone do anything else? (NOT Slice the Pie - don't like the sound of that at all at all!)
