I love reading thru the posts on here
Folk start off all keen & gung-ho at the beginning; a few days in they start to question what is or is not a Spend & end up justifying their decision one way or t'other. It really is a form of therapy! As long as it helps in the greater scheme of saving money & making what's left work to its full capacity...that's all that matters. It's a wonderful bonus that we can have a bit of fun while in the process
Went to a mahoosiff hyper-market yesterday & forgot to take an insulated bag, which was probably a blessing in the end. The Store is a good 50mins drive from us & on the way back an accident reduced traffic to a drizzle :embarasse It must have literally happened 3mins in front of us cuz the blue-lighters had to get thru the rush hour traffic behind. I was a passenger SIZE=1]but still don't like to look[/SIZE & as we passed, it looked like a shunt-up-the-boot type as opposed to anything too serious thankfully. So! The reason for my ramble is..a spend day for me again as I must get some veg, milk & such.

Darn it, ended up spending last night on pizza! Completely my fault as I begged DH to pop in shop on his way home from work.
Today is DD1 Christmas Fayre so I'm not very hopeful for a NSD until Monday now - Bah!0 -
Will be wrapping my Christmas presents with the reduced wrapping paper I bought in January Sales and with the Christmas Cards too.
Just working out what I need for the Christmas Food Menu Plan

I don't have any reason to go out today so I think I shall stay in and thus manage a NSD. I really should stay in anyway seeing as I have lots of Uni work to get done, and while i'm at it I shall get some clothes into a bucket of vanish. Yes, productivity not spending. Good plan.On the up

I love the thread, as it really makes you think about what you are spending on. People might still end up buying the choc bar or magazine or whatever, but they have thought long and hard about it Even if they end up spending, they usually end up buying only that item, and not a basket full of useless stuff & treats.
It makes you realise what you can & can't live without. (I'm running out of tea!!)
I've kept to my NSD today, so number 3 reached. Just 17 to go!!
