Gosh it's been a while - but I need to get back in the habit of meal planning :) We've been super naughty for the last few weeks because first the baby was very poorly so lots of sleepless nights and A&E trips - she's now fine but I've got a cold grrr cue more sleepless nights thanks to coughing and sniffling... but onwards and upwards as they say :)

    So...

Mon - ok another naughty evening - I DID have food planned but hubby has decided we're going out... apparently something to do with it being my 30th or something...
Tues - Chorizo and pea rice - aka seafoodless paella ;)
Weds - Salmon poached in whitewine a la economy gastronomy
Thurs - Moroccan Lamb Tagine - nice and warming...
Fri - Fridge soup (aka emtpy the fridge! Looks like potato and leak at the moment...)
Sat - Rubber chicken with roast veg
Sun - Fajita's with left over chicken :)

Phew... progress! And I actually don't think I need anything other than spuds... miracle!

ETA - Breakfast for me and the small person will be yogurt - making my own and also have LOADS of muesli samples from the good food show - about the only things I DID get *grumble grumble grumble*

Lunch will more than likely be leftovers or sandwiches (for me... small person has loads of frozen pureed food in the freezer :) )

My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey
  • Hi all, our veggie box comes a wednesday so I'll just do the next few days:

Sunday - Roast leg of pork, roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, cauliflower, brocolli and red cabbage
Monday - Special fried pork rice (made with leftover pork and vegetables from today's roast and mushrooms) and coleslaw
Tuesday - leek, ham off cuts and lentil soup

  • Hi,

I have become an out of control food shopper!! spending £70-100 a week on 3 of us.

Ive decided to meal plan for the week hopefully this should reduce the cost ?

I dont do packed lunches as husband works nights.

    Any other idea's welcome.

    Thank you

    Lisa
