I'm trying the meal planning thing again. OH has agreed to this one so it should work:
Yesterday: HM chicken goujons, oven chips, salad
Today: Tandoori chicken, rice, lentils, potato curry
Wednesday: Morrocan lamb, couscous
Thursday: Sushi (OH bringing back from work - he has a place that does great sushi next to the office)
Friday: BBQ pork ribs, peri-peri chicken wings, bread, salad
Saturday: HM Pizza
Sunday: Normandy pork (recipe from my latest cookbook purchase), mash, green beans
Lunches are leftovers, sandwiches or HM soup with bread
Keep your fingers crossed that this time we stick to it as I have already bought most of the things I need.:cheesy::cheesy: Cheese… milk's leap toward immortality :cheesy: :cheesy:Clifton FadimanFeb'11 - GC: £105.89/£125 - NSD: 15:jMar'11 GC: £3.84/£100 - NSD: 00 -
New to this board but have been planning our meals for a while now. OH is very frugal and I am becoming more so - I have to plan meals though because otherwise he'll make me eat smartprice noodles everyday!!! So:
Monday: Meatballs and Pasta
Tuesday: Beans on toast as OH at RMR
Wednesday: Soup from tin as I'm at college all eve
Thursday: Leftover lamb (from Sunday) casserole thing with rice and broccoli
Friday: Pasta with bacon and sauce as need carbs for a big run on Saturday
Saturday: Baked Potato with stew from the freezer made 3 weeks ago
Sunday: Cottage pie with broccoli and carrots
Breakfast is cereal for both of us and lunch is either HM soup or sandwiches.Clearing debt to save for a simple wedding.Starting 2016 With debt of £77000 -

I'm glad it's not just me that sits at the computer with pen & paper in hand gleaning ideas :rotfl:The more the merrier (meaning more for me to snitch ideas off of, LOL)
Seriously though a big
to all new posters it really does help to get you organised & stops the impulse purchases when you know for sure what you're doing for dinner each night

No recipe, but it was just some curry I had in the freezer. I used one of those cheap jars of curry sauce from Asda and wasn't overly keen, but it's fine in small quantities! From what I can remember, there was carrot, onion, potato and sweetcorn in them, I just made some shortcrust pastry and made them into random shapes!Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Here is my menu for the coming week : :j
Today (Sat 5) Bonfire chilli, rice, garlic bread, dorit)s and dips.
possibly a pudd of apple crumble and custard !
Sun = home made beef madras curry or home made beef goulash.
Mon = Jacket chips and eggs
Tue = Jacket spuds and tuna
Wed = Jacket chips and eggs
Thur = Sausages, jackets and beans
Fri = steak and roasted veg
Thursday and Friday meals might get re-jigged as we ate the sausages today that we are meant to be having on Thursday and the steak meant for friday will get used on sunday for the goulash/curry so if i can find something else to use in the freezer that means I don't have to buy anything then that will be the plan.
Breakfast is typically yogurt and muesli and/or fruit. Lunches next week include chick pea dahl / cous cous / one lunchtime at the pub.
happy menu planning everyone.0
