Good morning & thank you PP for starting the thread :D This week we are having:

    Monday: Spaghetti Bolognaise

    Tuesday: Sausage Pasta

Wednesday: Mixed Veg Soup, Flatbreads, Apple Pie & Custard/Ice Cream

    Thursday: Pasta Bake

    Friday: Meatballs & Spaghetti

Saturday: Beans on Toast or Help Yourself Night ;)

    Sunday: Potato Hash & Yorkies

There's quite a few pasta meals as I have lots to use up. I chop/grate lots of veggies (peppers, carrots, green beans, celery, squash) into most of the meals to both stretch them out to feed 6 and to get more veg into the children :D

Breakfasts are toast, porridge, weetabix, fruit & yoghurt.

Lunches are soup, sandwiches, pate & toast, things on toast & any leftovers.

Snacks are a few crisps, yoghurts, toast, cinnamon french toast, flapjacks, chocolate cake & things from the lunch menu. I'll also be making various muffins as I'm starting to experiment with them now thanks to some great ideas on here :T

    Have a good week.

Yikes - is it really that time of the week again?

    This week I've got:

Friday - I'm out with friends all day and have no idea what's happening or what time I'll be home. I'll either have something to eat while I'm out or treat myself to takeaway pizza when I get home (using a money-off voucher, of course!)
Saturday - butternut squash, chorizo and chickpea stew
Sunday - haddock, prawn and tomato soup/stew, with hm olive bread
Monday - aubergine and chorizo pasta bake
Tuesday - mince beef pie (from the freezer) with veg of some sort
Wednesday - turkey, bacon and boursin pie with veg of some sort

    Late edit:
No, hang on, Thursday is evening class night - I won't have time to make curry. So I'll do:

Thursday - something from the freezer
Friday - turkey and aubergine curry (possibly with hm naan bread if I get round to it / can be bothered )

I'll make some soup over the weekend for lunches, or take leftovers from the previous night's dinner. Breakfast will mostly be porridge with fruit, as that's my current favourite. :)
Back after a very long break!

Here is the master sketch of the menu plan - vegetables will be added as & when depending on garden and freezer, and any desserts depending on DH's scales readings....

Today was: prawns in pernod (thanks to Millie2008) with couscous, broccoli and beetroot salad
Friday: kale mash with smoked sausage (hope it doesn't rain too much as I have to harvest the kale from end of the garden)
    Saturday: tortilla beany bake
    Sunday: HM pizza with sardines
    Monday: pasta with lemony meatballs
Tuesday: in town for the day, including dentist visit. Dinner will be split pea soup made at the weekend
Wednesday: ayam pangang (Indonesian chicken) with rice and coconut vegetables
Thursday: beetroot, herring and apple salad
    Friday: pumpkin risotto
Saturday: fish pie with spinach/mash topping
Sunday: brown rice, roast vegetables, cheese sauce

    Have a good week, everyone!

Friday - going out with work for a meal, so i'm having chicken goujon things to start and scampi for main

Saturday - i'm going to see my brother and sister, so we'll have to think of something! Got an indian meal from the supermarket

Sunday - [STRIKE]roast chicken breast with potatoes, carrot, swede, parsnips and homemade stuffing balls :D[/STRIKE] chicken kiev with carrot and swede mash and roast potatoes

Monday - [STRIKE]bubble and squeak[/STRIKE] still a kind of bubble and squeak using the mash, potatoes and some stuffing balls

Tuesday - [STRIKE]meatballs in tomato sauce with spaghetti[/STRIKE] going out for a chinese and then to the cinema :D

Wednesday - sausages with peppers/onion and polenta chips

Thursday - stuffed pepper with cous cous and potato wedges

Friday - [STRIKE]omelette with potato wedges[/STRIKE] sausage pasta bake with spinach - making tonight as took sausages out of freezer on Wednesday, but then bought some more, so will need to use these quicker (they're cheaper so fine for this recipe, whereas the ones I have for Wednesday are nicer for eating on their own!!)

Saturday - sausage pasta bake with spinach

Sunday - [STRIKE]pasta with chicken and boursin sauce[/STRIKE] really not sure...! Possibly the same as tonight (kiev) but will decide then. It will be something I have in anyway

I've had to change quite a bit as the chicken I was going to be using is trapped in a freezer (don't ask!)

I made some vegetable curry pasties during the week so I will take those for my lunch during the week and have also made some lemon sponge cakes (mini loaves!) as well.
