Sagem Freeview Box - £20!!!

Hi All

TJ Hughes are selling Sagem freeview set-top boxes for £20. It's a really dinky little box!

I don't know how long the offer's on for - my local TJ's had about 10 left.

It's this model Sagem Freeview box

Hope this helps

UPDATE 20/06/06: I have just seen these boxes in Argos priced at £27.99!

good price OP, but from my experience, this is a very frustrating box... locks up a lot and is laggy.

Same here, bought one and got rid off it. It was very noisy - I can see why it is cheaper now.

I've used a few of these basic ITD58/60/62 models, I've always found them OK - fast, quiet (there are no fans, etc.) and very sensitive if you live in a poor signal area...

In contrast, the Sagem PVR models (hard disk recorders) are extremely bug ridden and noisy - and best avoided. I know... I've got one of those too.:(

Had the same experience with the old silver Sagem box (ITD602) from TJ a few years back. Would lock up or reset itself sometimes.

Thanks for the info. I've bought one as a secondary box today (although I didn't research for feedback first), so it's good to know they're ok. I've bought way more expensive freeview boxes and had no end of trouble with them!

The smiley is at the end of my post (my choice). The link to the url is on the line above it :D

I've had one of these for over a year. Its basic yes, but it works flawlessly in my bedroom. Much much better than my panasonic tuct box - faster channel changes etc. At this price its a good buy.
