    Tired again, lots of uni work. Gobsmacked at the DSA reccommendations, if it goes through, £3k of equipment, and up to £5-5.5k of money available (5k of that for travel if I need it!)

    I agree with this. I think it might be worth a word to CAB or even at the job centre/careers office to see what exactly her rights are so she goes to the meeting knowing her rights. When they realise she knows what she's talking about they'll back off. A letter to their HR people might also be in order...

    They are very generous and the equipment is pretty incredible

    evening all...well Ive not really been away from here today but thought I'd say hi to those just coming online :wave:

    Sammy I have done all christmas shopping except 1 present for OH and 1 nephew :) In fact I wqas going to start wrapping but feel dire so think I might have an evening of sitting on the sofa under the blanket and watching TV.
    Need to also sort budget and do some comping..must enter 20 today
    I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

    Right - that's Nathan KO'd (he's been poorly so not napping properly in the afternoon so tending to need bed at 6.30 rather than 7:D) so Operation De-Blonde about to get underway. Wish me luck...

  • her appointment was with HR and a dept manager. She has worked out proposal to justify her part time hours etc. They will then have to give that consideration. They were late replying to her original request.

    She has a 'letter' prepared if they still don't play ball but wants to try the reasonable approach first to make a better working envirionment for the future. If not I think she will go for their guts.
