    Morning all!

Celyn - sounds like you're having a great time, my ds left for Cologne last night, the Christmas markets are in full swing there apparently, wonder if they do beads there, will text and ask him to look - he'll be so happy!

Essexgirl - hope that oh's meeting wasn't too awful - not caught up with yesterday's thread yet

JC - what a horrible thing to have happened after all this time, and why didn't she come forward any earlier? And was she also running down the street to witness everything? I hope that you have a good solicitor and that it is all sorted out quickly

Grey day here today, still very spaced out from this bug and everything else last week, people keep having to explain themselves to me several times before I get what they're on about! Usually they only have to explain once or twice!

Really need to get OS stuff going properly again, thankfully a lot of it is just normal routine and I can do it without thinking! Washed up pots and need to put them away and S&S kitchen, hoovering was forgotten by dd2 so will leave that and she can do it tonight, and for the next week (that's how it goes if you don't do your chores, you get a whole week of the same thing so that you can practice and become really good!), dd1 didn't fold the washing either so she is now on wm duty for the week - yippee cos I hate doing it! dd3 managed to do her chores and not to make a mess, so she's still in my good books, and I'm in her's as NF dropped off a dressing table for her ye'sterday and she is soooooo happy with it!

DS left last night for Cologne, bizarrely they are travelling by coach, which seems silly when they are only away for four days, apparently he will travel through 5 countries before tonight! He is currently in Belgium according to his text!

Right, going to attempt to eat some brekkie now, still a struggle to eat and I'm really fed up with it now, I'm ravenous! Then I shall start on the kitchen and maybe get organised enough to do a meal plan - or perhaps can get dd3 to make one for me later?!

Have a good day all xx

ps redruby - have been told I am going out on Saturday night - so will be posting pics hopefully Sunday!!!!!

pps - have been trying to remember the name of the site for selling homemade crafts, can anyone enlighten me please?

    Edit:

Richard - lovely to see you back again, and glad that the twins are doing well, have missed all your updates. How's the volunteering going?

Good morning all, you put me to shame. It was 9am before I got out of bed and stayed out! I always have the alarm set to go and check DS is up. If he oversleeps, it's a 10 miles to school! I have the travel kettle in our room on the 2nd floor, so put that on, get out again for making the cuppa and then back into bed. Slept a bit more...that's how it is this time of year. I have to be out sooner tomorrow as I'm in for first lesson.

Have we missed Hester this morning?

Windy and dark at the moment but not actually precipitating.

Not a work day for me but I have to go in as I have 2 meetings in work later, four of us have to see the Vice principal and don't know what it's about. Things been going downhill in terms of conditions there so doubt it will be good news. I don't need this type of stress in my life at the moment. COmpared to most I guess my life is relatively stress free, I try to make it that way, but I have Winter Brain at the moment.

The mouse saga? ONe came in at the weeekend and nicked the blob of peanut butter without the trap going, they're quite difficult to set, either seem to be wedged open as per above, or alternatively they go off as soon as there's a draught. No sign of the bu99ers last night though. ha ha! Just remembered my boss in my first job asking me if I had spilt the chocolate vermicelli in the pantry!

HM salmon fishcakes went down well with ds last night.

OS? I have dough in the BM for pizza, going to make some bases. Have some YS small onions to finish prepping and put in the freezer. Got some Aldi super6 leeks yesterday so will do the same with those. Have a list of jobs to do. Best get on I suppose. Porridge for brekkie first though.

    Have a good day everyone.

Shame on you TiredMum, you're really letting the team down. I suggest you go out today and finish off your Christmas shopping. :D You can report back later on progress. :p Glad your DD is taking teachers advice. (hugs)

Just had a lovely little chat with DGS on the phone. I told him that his pool arrived. It's been sooooo hot, could Ninny please set it up and have a swim in it? No he said, your not allowed Ninny, you have to wait for me. :D Tea was lovely. Made baked suasages & veggies followed off by icecream & fruit salad.

halight Wow 17 months. Time flies. Glad to hear that your condition is still stable.
celyn90 Sounds ideal. Bet it's been great just to chill. Really re-charge the batteries.
mummysaver I think it's called Etsy. HTH.

Well off to give this beautiful bod a shower. :D Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning everyone.
Loads of washing to do courtsey of DS who wet the bed TWICE last night. Anyone got any matchsticks for my eyes?
Cleared up a load of leaves in the garden yesterday and there are still half of them left on the trees (bah I hate Oak trees :() - it's soul destroying to do it all and then days later to have it look no better.
Having a quiet day at home today so no much to report. Would like to do some baking if I get the chance.

Going to get the Christmas tree down so we can put all the decs up the weekend :D This gives me the shameless excuse to do this HSchristmaswindow.gif and this HSnana.gif and this xmas-smiley-008.gif and I suspect we will all be doing this HSshiver.gif by the end of the week LOL!

JC - sorry to hear about your summonds. Definately try and get some legal advice. Sounds as though the witness needs some glasses......

Celyn - enjoy Prague, it sounds like a lovely cottage you have there.

Purpleivey - I hope your meeting isn't bad news today xx

Hugs to those that need them, have a good day OS or not.

    Edited to add:

Sorry I completely forgot to add Richard - great to see you posting again. Glad to hear the twins are doing well. My DD is now 16 months and also climbing and getting into lots of trouble ;)

    Hi everyone,

Just popping on to say welcome back Richard, it's good to know that you're ok. Also belated birthday wishes fro HH.

I'm afraid that I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet. I'm usually finished by now but with MIL dying I haven't had the heart to go shopping.

It's only 2 weeks untill DD goes off on her 6 month trip, I will miss her so much. She's managed to get a freelance job reviewing luxury hotels and restaurants on her way round and has just let me know that she'll be staying in the hotel where Lost in Translation was filmed in Tokyo to start with.

OSiness has been a bit hit and miss, I haven't been so well and slept away most of the weekend. I'm feeling a bit better now and made a huge pot of chilli last night.

    Hi,
Sorry not to have posted for a few days. Ongoing issues with DS1 (18) and DS2 (17) are making me feel quite tired and down but we will get things sorted eventually.
JC - I totally understand how you feel. I hope you get some support both moral and legal.
Tired Mum - thanks for thinking of us. I hope your DD is feeling a little brighter now. It sounds like the right decision as kids self esteem is really important.

Halight - Its good to see you posting.

OS - well WM is on and ive sort of sorted kitchen. Im going to potter around and have a tidy up as its better to keep on top of things. My cleaner came yesterday so no real cleaning. I am going to get some xmas pressies online.
    Hope today goes ok.
    Love Mollyx

Morning all (it is still morning isn't it?)

jc2703 - what on earth is going on? Why now? Strikes me as a bit odd (not to mention massively unfair) - think you should get some legal advice definitely!
Bitsy - v jealous! I've been outvoted in my house and the decorations are not allowed up until the weekend after next  spoilsports...

I've just got back from the doctors. Thought I was doing quite well until I walked in his door and he said, "Tell me you're pregnant!", at which point I dissolved into very noisy and undignified tears :o He has however prescribed me with clomid which will make me ovulate every cycle instead of every other cycle so I at least now have a chance. So very positive all in all.

Got home yesterday to find that my Mum and DH had conspired and she had done our ironing (not that there was much of it) and DH had tea ready prepared without me having to give him instructions! Bliss! I shall have to feel a bit fragile more often ;)

Really really need to find an idea for a homemade gift for the men in the family. Typically they're all a bit of mare to buy for as they don't "need" anything - other than a jolly good slap of course :p

OS today involves meal planning and treating the corner of our bedroom for black mould... joy!

Still feeling ridiculously emotional so I think I will try and immerse myself in work for a bit. Have a lovely day, hugs all round xx

  • Morning all. Achieved nothing except food shopping yesterday, today isn't looking too good either. Am definitely going to get my butt of here after posting and go and do something useful!

No news on the funeral yet, am I right in thinking these are usually a week or so after the person has died?

Halight - glad to see you back. Bet the twins are keeping you very busy!!

Celyn - Prague sounds lovely, and so do all the christmas markets you are going to. Would love to go to one.

    Have a good day all.
