By far my most MSE present has been a picture frame collage (i think you call it) for my hubby, I brought a plain black picture frame from ebay for £1.99 and (sneakily using the works printer) printed off lots of different pics of us together, in different sizes - Gluing these all to some red card and popping them into the frame, and I am absolutely amazed at how great it looks. Id deffo recommend this, cos I know hes going to be really touched thinking of the effort ive put in- and im not really an arty person, think thats why im amazed at the result lol. Other than that, presents for him are DVDS (3 FORD specialist car dvds), fast and furious dvd, a fishing bag, a personalised fishing towel, and thats about it.
As for other men in my family, my teenage son has been asking about a stereo for his room, which he can use to listen to his ipod through, and i picked up a great one from the argos clearnace in corby so that will be his 'main' pressie, amongst other bits n bobs, dvds n such.
My dad, I got him hair clippers as I know the ones he has at home are a bit old now
I also got 10 Lynx showergels when they were on offer at asda for a quid, not really sure what im going to do with these lol, i was planning to make gift sets for the men but have nothing else as yet to put with them... eek. ps. does anyone know where there are any mens deodrants (lynx prerably to go with the showergel) on offer? lolGreat thread. I just find buying for blokes sooo tricky!
I really don't want to buy the usual presents this year so this is what I've got so far:
Dad: Winery/Brewery Tour from Last Minute.com
Brother 1: Personalised Apron from: Extra Special Touch Gifts (very ironic as he is USELESS around the house!)
Brother 2: Stuck on this one - he's going travelling but not to loads of places so backpack etc seems a bit unecesarry - any ideas anyone? I thought maybe a travel journal...
Grandad: This is always a hard one - usually get a hamper but this year I've got him a lamp with all the grandchildren on - one side has a group photo and the other has a mug shot of each of them - I hope he'll love it, from Photo Lamps by Emma Tasker.
Thats all for now....'They only had one cow!'0 -

No idea what to get him yet though, he is one of those men that if he wants something he will buy it, or he will want something electrical/technical and he will spend weeks finding what he wants and getting the best deal.
Hopefully some of your ideas will inspire me!!
You took the words from my fingertips moonbabe! My OH is exactly the same, and we've just moved house too, so anything you come up with may suit my man... although I haven't read the rest of the thread yet0 -

Some books - he chose most of them himself though
And that's it! I do need to think of something from the kids, but not sure what yet. Nothing like leaving it until the last minute!Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!0 -

But none of them ARE grown up me thinks...
They are all little boys at heartSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
