Micra model codes? But yes the daihatsu does seem to look like an uglified micra doesn't it? Don't think I'll buy it anyway, fsh but it was starting to rust away under the wheel arches. In the great daihatsu tradition.Either the k10 or k11, both look miles better than a Daihatsu cuore.

I had a Daihatsu sportrack many years ago, ultra low mileage, suffered with piston slap.Micra model codes? But yes the daihatsu does seem to look like an uglified micra doesn't it? It was taken into main agents to be sorted, engine stripped, no parts available, I waited over 6 months and ended up part exchanging it (while it was still in bits) for a BMW.
I must have had use of that car about 3 months.

Id love one of those!!! Been looking for a decent one for ages! I have a 89 mini rose and a 95 mini mayfair. My little collector toys, I dont drive them :cool:0 -
Why don't you drive them? I have a '90 mini city (nothing flash but immaculate, in mini terms) and a '89 mini mayfair in bits ready for restoration. I bought a '84 mayfair earlier this year for restoration, but it only cost £120 to get it through the mot so I thought it was a shame to dismantle it so I gave it to my son's girlfriend, she's 23 and loves it. Oh and my daily run about is a '56 mini cooper. I don't understand how some people berate the new mini it sits lovely at the side of my classic mini in the garage.Id love one of those!!! It was an '85 mini mayfair that my whole family where in when we had a collision, had we been in anything else we would have fared better.
Sorry guys I loved them too, even tho' I was too big for one, but when that happened I realised just how inadequate they actually were;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I have 2 kids, one being 4 months old with a big buggy, try fitting that into a mini :rotfl:
My rose is getting a full resoration just now, its sitting with no interior or front end or engine. Got a new 1.3 spi engine with 15k on it going in and new cream leather interior. Cant remember what model interior came out of but down the middle its a red check and thats getting redone in baby pink leather to match the color of the roof.
My mayfair I only got last week, it needs a new front panel as its a bit rusty and a really good polish! That is all getting done next week! Iv named her Ruby as she is candy red. So I have a ruby and a rose  My boyfriend also has a 89 picadilly thats getting a restoration soon also once my rose is finished!0 -
Wouldn't any '85 small car be just as dangerous, fiesta, micra, panda, metro etc., no safety features in any except seatbelts.cyclonebri1 wrote: »It was an '85 mini mayfair that my whole family where in when we had a collision, had we been in anything else we would have fared better.

The mini was a 1959 ,(I "think"), design though, thats the difference. One of the 1st if not the 1st car to use a monocoque chassis. Most other small cars of that time where newer and had more modern engineering. Minis were notorious for folding up under frontend impacts.
I was driving the wifes mini with her in the passenger seat and the 2 kids in the back. Someone turned right accross us and we hit him in his front corner at 40mph. The ford orion was only slightly damaged but the mini was totalled, the copper who attended couldnt believe I was driving when he saw the damge to the car as I was just walking wounded.
And the excuse of the other driver, "I just didn't see the car"
Hence I prefer something a little larger and saferI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
