I love my mini (both of them), '56 reg cooper just sailed through its first MOT and a 1990 classic mini in absolutely cracking condition (just about to sorn it for the winter so it doesn't get its little wheels wet). I think you made a good choice but I may be biased, I'm sure most of the people who knock the new mini have never driven one. As for the soft top, Autoglym sell a soft top cleaning kit I bought one when I had a Mazda mx5, Halfords sell them I think. Enjoy your new car.

  • Enjoy your mini, I have a John Cooper Works and it is brilliant.

My daughter had a new mini cooper, nicely engineered and built, reasonably quick, but the drive was a little too much Pug 205 GTI for my taste:confused:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

My mistake guys, phew, I was fearing for the op. I did have a very nasty exp in a not so old, old mini, hence the Marc Bolan comment

He died in a 73 1275GT in believe.

I think you are correct :money:, might still have been alive had it not been a mini:confused:

I had one of these as a company car 20 years ago. It was a brilliant car.

i am about to become part of this exclusive club !!! woo me :j

just bought an '06 mini cooper convertible :)

so anything i need to know ? never had a convertible before - any tips for looking after the hood ??

    thx :T

Not sure I would use the word 'exclusive' everyone, even my cat has one, even my cats neighbours cousin has 3 or 4... But I do hope you enjoy it. They are made in the UK so its bound to be a bit temperamental - go easy on it.

as for tips on looking after the hood, shoot all the drug dealers and asbo any kids carrying knives.. :rotfl:

From all accounts he had his share of fun, not sure it would have been possible in the mini tho'
