Oh dear, here we go again, I'm getting dizzy!
Please see post #6
The Tesco car park near me that is patrolled by the third party on behalf of Tesco is patrolled by UK Parking Control Limited and has exactly the same telephone number on it.
I'll get you a photo if I really have to, you know I will..."Now to trolling as a concept. .... And Illegal parking tickets? Can you back this with facts. PPC's are not illegal en masse although many are. Its also worth noting a lot of the get outs are technicalities and often fraudulent.
Only the council and the police can issue legal PCNs. This is covered over and over again on this board.0 -

You are contradicting yourself. You say "If the sign above is the one that I posted in the other recent thread, it is from one where Tesco controls their own car parking as far as I understand using their own cameras.
Edit: here is the sign from my one of my local stores that they control themselves:"
But Tesco are not controlling those car-parks themselves. That number belongs to Euro Car Parks. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

No where does Tesco's sign state it is a fine. They state if you stay in the car park over 2 hours you agree to pay that sum. That is a contract. The problem here is proving who made the contract and that they accepted it.
If tesco had a sign and automated barrier at the gate at which point you had to agree to the terms and also give a picture of the driver than that would be perfectly legal and enforceable in a court of law as the contract has been formed without any legal doubt.0 -
It doesn't really matter whether it's Euro Car Parks or UK Parking Control Ltd, Tesco clearly employs more than one set of cowboys to bully their customers out of money.0

This was covered on the other Tesco thread. Tesco consider overstaying your permitted time a "misdemeanour", therefore the amount of money they are asking for is a punishment for that "misdemeanour", otherwise why use the word? We are not just considering the sign provided, but also the paperwork sent to people upon receiving one of these PCNs.0 -
What makes you say that?

Because you say that Tesco control those carparks themselves, using their own cameras when clearly it's all contracted out to Euro Car parks. If Tesco were actually controlling those car-parks why are Euro Car parks involved? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
I have no idea. Why are Euro Car parks involved?trisontana wrote: »Because you say that Tesco control those carparks themselves, using their own cameras when clearly it's all contracted out to Euro Car parks. If Tesco were actually controlling those car-parks why are Euro Car parks involved?
How is it "clearly" contracted out to them?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
