You're barking up the wrong tree with this SOGA stuff.
Please shut up.
The OPs friend has shelled out £2,500 and probably suffered untold emotional heartache.
Under the law they are perfectly within their rights to pursue the seller under the SOGA, as much as many animal breeders hate this fact.0 -
Look here pal, you've got to laugh, or else you'll cry.
However I can see my imput is not wanted, so I shall scurry away with my tail firmly between my legs.0 -
You know i can be a bit insensitive at times, for which i apologise.
I guess I should try to paws for thought before posting stuff.0 -
I hope your friend has contacted the breeder - its likely the rest of the pups will have this illness and it is one that spreads rapidly. If this is a puppy farm situation, a call to the RSPCA would be warranted too.0

If it was a private seller as per the title of the thread, it would be the same as if you bought a car privately.
Basically it is a case of buyer beware, unless you can prove that the seller deliberately decieved you. You really should have contacted the seller as soon as the dog became unwell.
It looks like you may be left to collar the cost.0
