  • 00020403.gif flyers and skivers. Only wish it was sunny here today, its wet, gales and freezing 000200BC.gif . Spent last night setting up a new display cabinet in the livingroom and putting the bunnikins and trucks into it, quite pleased though it looks good (even better cause it was free!). My babysitting went well and when mum and dad came in to pick up kids I got the low down on what happened at the meeting with the education officer re the school closure, things are starting to swing in our favour. Was up to silly o'clock this morning and I'm shattered now might 000201F3.gif for a while then make a start.

    Morning folks

A huge D day today for bank charges, let hope the courts see in the customers favour.

Bluddy ebayers, woman going to collect her item, that is fine, then the mails start, could I sent it, yes no problem, then she thinks she wants to collect again, Ok I say no problem, let me know when you are coming and what time so I can make sure I am in, now this morning she has paid the invocie in full inc p&p, but asked me not to post it yet as she may want to collect, and me to give her a cash refund for the p&p bit ,.......................grrrrrrrrrr

    Cat fed....

A really storm here last night woke me up.

    Spag bol for dinner tonight

    Hugs

I was advised on the ebay thread not to do this as she can raise a dispute that she never received the item and get all the money back. If she wants to collect refund the whole amount via paypal and get her to pay COD.

Rose - the ebay thread will give you good advice. I think it is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure it arrives (I know that is not fair) safely as you are the one with the contract with Royal Mail. You could ask the buyer to email you a photo of the packing and the broken item, say you need it to make a claim against RM and see what they say. You will have to refund I think but check with the ebay board. Did you write FRAGILE on the parcel?

I've got an ebay item being collected later and one to post. Last one being collected on Saturday.

Woody has got a bird. I've managed to get him out of the house - he is cross tha I won't let him in - he is sitting outside with a feather on his head. He can come in once I've hoovered the floor.

Rose if you used standard mail ie not special delivery then you are not covered for compensation, there is a list of exclusions here This is the relevant bit I think k. for standard parcels, where damage is to items made of glass or ceramics or which have components made of glass or ceramics; As Dusty says the responsibility lies with you as the seller. Ask for a photo of the damage, it may be that the glass needs replacing only and a partial refund would suffice.
