  • Thanks for all the birthday wishes for DD1. She had a lovely day. My parents got delayed on their flight home but managed to make it back in time.:D She really loved all her presents...especially her Ben 10 walkie talkies that we got her, but she didn't tell anyone at school that she got them as they would think she was a 'boyish girl'. That's the same reason why she didn't choose a Ben 10 lunch bag in September and went for a High School Musical one instead. Shame that they feel they can't say what they really like for fear of being teased. She's also got a Ben 10 watch on the way from her uncle and wants Ben 10 pj's for Christmas!

Happy Birthday to SGT. Hope you've had a fab day!:bdaycake:

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

Hugs for you AnW'smum. You're entitled to some bad days here and there. xx

Flying...I have put a wash on. Had tea at IL's as its FIL's birthday today so no clearing up!:j Need to put some school polo shirts in the dryer when its finished though. Will do a list as some things were done yesterday.

Not looking too bad after all. Not sure how much I'll get done tomorrow as the car has got its MOT and I'm relying on my mum and dad to ferry me around a bit to drop off and pick up the car so I'll probably be over at theirs for a bit.

Minnie (the new cat) is much better now. She's still on a diet of chicken and rice with her antibiotics crushed up in it and she's really picking up. We've started introducing her and our other cat, Monty, and Monty's not bothered about her but Minnie is very vocal and wants to attack. I think she feels threatened by him but he doesn't feel threatened by her 'cos she's so much smaller and thinner. She feels like she's putting on a bit of weight now, thank goodness. Thanks for the advice from the other flyladies. The vet said we'd been doing the right thing as far as what to feed her when she's poorly and how to introduce the two cats. Flyladies network strikes again!!!:T:T:T:T:T

Off for an early night so I think I'll check if my ebay purchaser has paid yet then head off upstairs.

    Night night.

Mudders - thank you soooooooooooo much for posting on my thread, means a lot to me. And also your post on here.
Am getting sh£te for asking a completely normal question (though not normal if you arn't in that situation). I feel as though I'm a bad mother now and I'm not , just need XH to realise he needs to stand up and be counted and to help him to do so.

Know it's true what mudbath says - I'm used to this lovely thread and to all you gorgeous people and loving and supportive ways. Could cry x

    Debt-free and Proud!
Good evening flyladies, with esp thanks to Pigpen, Toots and Soappie. I had a very good week, flying-wise w/c 09/11/09, then got severe abdo pain on Fri 13/11/09 and was admitted to SGH on 15/11/09 where they could have seriously done with their own fly-lady lists  Some wards worse than others, and I tried a few (D and V outbreak so 4 wards closed) as they moved me round a bit (and messed me around). Suspected gallstones but scan clear and x-rays. They discharged me on Fri 20/11/09 in the same pain and back to thinking gallbladder and now I am awaiting a gastroscopy. Sorry to moan on but I've been a bit weepy (I'm sleep deprived and that's never good :().

So no real flying for me, more limping with some possible crawling and maybe floating (strong pain killers get me that way). Hubby has been doing dailies and has been generally wonderful. Will skulk in background if that's ok until I get back to somewhere approaching normal and flylady service can resume?

Hope everyone else ok? Will try to catch up on thread tomorrow.

    Mel
