Hex - is that your cat in your piccie. OMG I'm in love! He / she is ADORABLE!!!! I want a cat!!!!!
Dusty - my DD loves Olga de Polga. She's 10 but has been reading them for a few years. She also loves Humphrey(the hamster) books. DS loves famous five, secret7, Captain Underpants, Gladiator Boy and Horrible Science / Geography books. He's 8.
Still done nothing off my list but not really stopped either. Went to school to cheer both children on in football/netball matches in the pouring rain and I've got cubs run later. Going to sort dinner and fly a bit now xx0 -

Mmmm, already not keeping up, still finishing level one Monday and haven't even started Tuesday!
Wasted an over an hour taking DS to hospital for an appointment only me and the non-existant lady who phoned me months ago knew about
then [STRIKE]wasted[/STRIKE] spent another hour reading more of this thread, finally got to the kitchen, put on an 80's cd and spent almost 2 hours decluttering and cleaning.
So although I still haven't even started the dining table, my kitchen is gleaming  and sparkling so much I feel like inviting people in lol. Not that the kids noticed!
Not going to get alot more done today as DD's have trampolining and I do a bodypump class at the same time, then by the time I've had dinner and bathed or showered I will be too tired to do anything apart from collapse into bed to watch tv!
Dusty - can I suggest Captain Underpants? My DS loved them and they really encouraged him to read.
Not sure what tomorrow will bring as out all day and clubs in eve, but am still pleased as if I hadn't have joined this I probably wouldn't have got as much done as I have. So big thank you to you all, especially for all the encouragement. :A0 -
:hello: I was just wondering where you had got to and up you pop
I have a DVD and book to post back to you, will try and remember to get it done this week.
Sorry to hear you have had a torrid time, hope things improve soon.
I am feeling fed up for no particular reason todaysure I will manage to shake it off later. Step count only 5977 so far. Off to get some lunch.
Happy Birthday SGT :bdaycake:
Hello - Im sorry your not having a good day! I hope your ok in general though - love n hugs for you hun! Did you watch the DVD? What did you think compared to the book? There is no rush for them - just whenever you are ready. xx
Dusty - can I suggest Captain Underpants? My DS loved them and they really encouraged him to read.
I was thinking about those when I read Dustys post - my DS is a similar age and has asked Santa for the Captain Underpants books.....they seem to be really popular with lots of kids that age, but I cant say for sure as we havent actually read any yet.....I dont know how similar they are to Horrid Henry (or not)
Anyway - popped home from work at lunchtime. Wiped down my bedroom window sill which I had sprayed this morning, and closed over some of the windows which I left open this morning to try and air the house. I dont like to leave them open all day when no-one is home....especially as it gets so dark so early now!
Thanks for the advice about the humidifier, I will look into that and see if my budget allows!
Im through in London this weekend if anyone is around - Natty I will PM you to see if a meet is convenient for you xxx
See you all later xxxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

god, I'm getting some stick on a thread I started in money saving marriages, wish I hadn't written it now, just wanted some advice on getting XH to want to spend time with DD2 when baby comes as he's rubbish with babies. Turning off now and won't look at it again.
Sorry I haven't posted, love and hugs all round where needed/wanted xTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0 -
Dusty - if you're going to get books don't forget to look at the book people (through Quidco of course!). I've had some really good deals through them.
Dinner made - dogs emptied - school bags decluttered xx0 -
DS3, who hates reading.. likes Horrid Henry.. they are very similar!! He also enjoys the horrible histories, cartoon annual things.. and Captain Underpants. He likes silly joke books too. I have where's Wally for him.
Best go feed the grubs.. DD2 has her options evening at school tonight.. which is a complete waste of time but she wants to go.. so I have to go too.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
