Since my DFD I have travelled to lots of places such as Vietnam, Thailand and all over Europe. I've refurnished my house and bought a caravan (but I've sold that again now). Next I am off to Egypt with my 2 children and then I am going to start saving for a conservatory.

I will hopefully be DF in two years. I am 34yo. I am going to set up a 40 fund. So when I turn 40 I can do some travelling. I would like to go to places like Vietnam, India, Thailand etc. I currently pay about £500 per month towards debts. I figure that by the time I turn 40 I should have approx £24k. Given inflation it will probably take that amount of money if I want to travel for 4-6 weeks. I know this dream seems far away but I am determined.

I would be interested to hear everyone else's dreams of what they plan to do when they are DF

 So for 4 weeks travel you would spend £6k a week??!!! Where will you be staying? I went travelling (proper backpacker stylee) in India/Nepal (admittedly it was 10 years ago) BUT I only spent £1k which was for 8 weeks and included flight and insurance...

You could go away for a year on that kinda money...

TBH I wouldn't mind if he wanted to, easier life for me, but it would be a shame to ruin such a rare example, are you in 'the club'? :p

Well, as I'm moving into my BF's home in September, we will then have to start to pay uni fees & living costs for my 2 DS's, so thats what my spare cash will be going on! Also, i need to sort out a pension - my divorce came through before the "share the pension" ruling, so my ex husband got all the pension & the 3 piece, i got the kids & the cat!

Well I've given myself two years to be debt free, which includes paying off loan early.

Then it's all hands to battle stations for getting house with boyf, admittedly that depends on how long he/i last with the other! LOL
A carribbean holiday would be nice too!

Once I'm debt free I will hammer the mortgage down so that I'm totally free by 2015. This will allow me to have decent holidays from 2008. Then I will have to pay the kids uni fees.

well by then , my gf and i will b living together , so i guess I will save for our wedding. Then I want to take her for a three week honeymoon to the most romantic place we have been and that place being Lake Louisa. But this time , I want to stay a few nights at a top top hotel and have champagneand good food. I know that is so over the top , but she has stood by me and it will be her reward. I also plan to deisgn her wedding ring , again a surprise for her big day . But above all , she thinks only her sons and partner are coming from overseas , but i want to fly back a few of her freinds. From taht day , all problems will be over and can get on with living our lives.

Then it will be safe for rainy day then safe long term and enjoy good cheap fun days out.
