What will you do with all your spare money after your DFD?

I have to say as far far away as it seems I have fantasys of putting my current amount of £600 a month of debt repayments towards savings and then being both sensible and silly with it, like choose a particular target (say 20k) then when I get there spending half of it on a classic sports car I love and leaving the other half there earning interest. It would be so rewarding to buy something I really want with savings rather than debt!
I don't think I will ever be someone who just hoards their money.
Whats your incentive? What do you dream about doing with your 'spare' money after your DFD?

I will hopefully be DF in two years. I am 34yo. I am going to set up a 40 fund. So when I turn 40 I can do some travelling. I would like to go to places like Vietnam, India, Thailand etc. I currently pay about £500 per month towards debts. I figure that by the time I turn 40 I should have approx £24k. Given inflation it will probably take that amount of money if I want to travel for 4-6 weeks. I know this dream seems far away but I am determined.
I would be interested to hear everyone else's dreams of what they plan to do when they are DF0 -
            My money plans
1. Driving lessons
2. More qualifications
3. My own Business (which is more than in the works allready)
4. Helping out family
I also want to part fund some educational tapes/flash website on helping people get out of debt
I have learned some flash programming and want to do a site dedicated to basically breaking down the info i have learned here and other sources into something that is a lot more descriptive to learn from0 -

Slighty OT...but £24k to travel in those places will be more than enough i would say even in 6yrs time, it is soooooooooo cheap to travel there.... only spent £600 in 8wks in thailand and malaysia! So you'll be a prince......

???!!! what i can say to follow that!!:D
-umm, well i think when the kids all hit school (and childcare cost diminsh!!), i will change from being debt free wannabee (living constantly off overdraft), to a attempting to be mortgage free wannabee!! I sure as hell could do with the £1k we pay every month to the bank.
-dreams about the big 40th/50th birthdays, with exotic holidays (when kids are 14yrs and 24yrs old) etc will be enough to keep me going to the tesco value range!!:jMortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -
well i am at that stage at the momment as i have just paid everything :j so now my bills stand at £240.20 a month so without over time i will have £435.64 spare every month  so with this money i would like to do these things but maybe not in this order - buy a car, learn to drive, get a passport, go abroad for the first time in my life, save for a rainy day and move out (but not for another 3+ years
)

I'll definitely work at being mortgage free after becoming debt free. But....i'd also like to get to a position where I can afford two holidays a year. Right, back to work with that in mind.January budget
