Is it just me who ends up creating more stuff in the freezer trying to use stuff from the cupboards? I've finished up half a pack of blackeye beans to make a curry - which is now residing in single portions in the freezer!!

    Good luck with that Jodes.
I picked up some near OOD cheese and bacon yesterday. With a left over from Christmas pack of frozen puff pastry it was time for cheese and bacon puff pastry wraps (as once sold by Greggs, but they aren't very healthy!). They are very tasty, though.

Mountstevens (before they shut down) did the same sort of thing but with baked beans in it as well. Was so nice. I used to have one on my way to work and then pop out mid morning for another!!! :D Couldnt wait until lunch or they would all be sold out!! :p

LOL, this happens to me all the time!

I used half a pack of mince to make a spicy curry type thing, which stretched to make 4 freezable portions, then used a tiny pack of chicken and heaps of tinned stuff to make a massive tagine which is now in 6 freezer bags!
Sometimes it feels like you'll never use stuff up, it just breeds! :rotfl:

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
i divided whoopsie pack of pork shoulder chops in half. In one pot i fried the pork first, then the onion, garlic, s&p tin chopped toms and a spig Rosemary out of the garden. cooked slowly 2 1/2 hours, then shredded the pork and put back on heat 15 mins, served with pasta. Was like italian ragu lovely... The other 1/2 of the pack put into slowcooker...added celery, onion, tbsp mustard, chicken cube,i/2 can cider and water no seasoning yet due to mustard and chicken cube, will serve that tomorrow with some veg. So again a NSD.:jI love this site it's saving me a fortune.
