Mince out of the freezer for tonights tea - not sure if I'm going to make the Chilli or not as OH isn't feeling too good - but we will have something with mince!
Taking one piece of beef out the freezer tomorrow for red cooked beef - remains of my noodles from the cupboard will be served with this and some stir fry pak choi had in the veg bag last week. If OH is feeling better tomorrow will do a starter of filo wrapped prawns from the freezer, salad from the fridge and sweet chilli sauce from the cupboard.

Anyone any ideas of how I could use up some dried lasagne sheets? DD has suddenly decided she doesn't like lasagne anymore and these have been in my cupboard since last Christmas (I've used up 2 other YS ones since then
). Its the bolonaise part she doesn't like  I was wondering if I could make one using fish in some sort of sauce?
Creativity in the kitchen is lacking ATM so any ideas would be welcomed.
I made a fish lasagne ages ago. It was nice.. but I dont have a recipesorry.
I made up the fish, as I would for a fish pie, but made sure there was a little more sauce than normal.
Then, I layered, one layer of fish, one layer of lasagne. The top was cheeeeeese
I must admit though, it didn't freeze too well. It was a bit too stodgy.zippychick wrote: »CCP - your thought process does make me laugh! Good to read about your cider cake antics, the visions of you eating cidery crumbs.
:eek::eek::eek:
Twice I had to read that
My eyes read cidery, my brain registered spidery
I have just been to Lidl
I just had to buy some tinned tomatoes
I used the last tin last night for the quiche.
But I didn't sleep a wink as a result
Only joking, I did, but I don't really want to take any chances now eh
I have lots to make this afternoon. Wine, red onion marmalade, and chickpea and garlic soup.
The wine making will use up quite a bit of fruit from the freezer :T
So, all going well, my freezer may have a wee space in it soooon0 -

I made this the other day too.
Mine was a chuck it in kind of thing...
But it went along the lines of ..
2 onions - chopped
3 carrots - very bendybut chopped
6 handfuls of lentils
1 tin of tomatos.
Stock
Cook then whizz. Simples :cool:0 -
My carrot & coriander soup was fine, not too runny at all after I had blended it. Just had it with HM bread (from bread maker machine) and have to say when I finished it I felt rather smug & proud of my healthy HM lunch! Who cares, I thought, if my millionaire shortbread was disgusting and had to be thrown in the bin, it would only have made me fat, (or fatter) but my HM soup & bread made me feel that "Yes, I can still be a bit of a Domestic Goddess! He,he!"
Also used up my left over lamb last nite with onion, garlic, mushrooms, tin of tomatoes and spices and although tbh it wasn't as nice as I had hoped it would be, it certainly wasn't inedible and at least it served its purpose and made another meal.

Nuala - everyone deserves a takeaway, don't worry about it!
The takeaway did dinner, lunch and will do part of dinner tonight - might need to add something to fill me up, maybe just a small sambo. So I'm not feeling so guilty now!:D
It's wild wet and windy here today (again) but there haven't been floods in my part of the country. Hope you're all ok where you are.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!
