    Good evening everyone

Today I have used up a large portion of chicken and sweetcorn soup and the last quorn kiev tonight. Also used up some bread flour and yeast rather than buying a loaf.

My freezer stocks feel like they are getting low but I still have managed to meal plan for the next 2 weeks out of the contents:rolleyes:

It is the pasta, rice and curry past mountain I need to shift. Is there such a thing as a dish you can do in the oven using rice (veggie)? Something like a pasta bake:confused:

Know what you mean XSpender :D I have taken out of freezer for tomorrow, beef stew & links & puff pastry for steak pie for OH, portion of chicken curry for me and last bit of bread and butter pudding.

Still have loads left and have really made an effort when doing the weekly shop not to buy any more meat than we need. (That is apart from the 3 packs of bacon today from Lidl which we really did not need :D:D)

I have a surplus of bread flour which I really should use up but I know if I make bread I will eat it all as OH doesn't like it
  • The children have just finished the end of a tub of chocolate ice cream :D

  • This is a new section of the forums for me so Hi everyone! I'm a 26 yr old debt free wannabe and am therefore living back at home with Mum for a while!

Mum's gone on holiday and we didn't go shopping before she went so I am going to take on this challenge this week and not buy ANYTHING. Just use up what's there!

Tonight I'm going for a stirfry with the odds and ends of random veggies left in the fridge, the last bit of white rice in a little bag stuffed at the back and some soy sauce I found that I didn't know we had! Probably chuck in some lemon too, got fresh ones in the fridge and ginger that's in a jar in the fridge. :):):)

  • nopot2pin I'm sure that you only bought bargains though. I can go weeks sometimes without shopping but when I do go I cannot pass on a real bargain.
