  • Good Luck mate - let us know! Did you do it online? What website did you apply under? :D
You put the app through online via apple and then you have to call them.

My app reffered as I didn't disclose my temp address ( that is correct and on credit file ) I wonder what they will say now?

I'm in a catch 22 as if I don't disclose my temp address ( 6 months ) my time at address is 11+years. If I disclose my temp address my time drops to 6 months

There was a user on here who got declined for 1 natwest card but already had another. They appealed and offered to close one in exchange for the other and this was granted. HTH
Thanks, I might try that now then, or would it be a good idea to wait (given my recent searches!). Today is a working day isn't it?

Jumped on the wagon with MBNA when I saw a post back in Sub prime part 3 I think it was were MBNA were doing a card with a £100 Deposit if your credit histroy wasn't the best haven't seen anyone talk about lately so looks like they pulled it.
    :( That's a shame, I'd have done that!
God that card account was taken away a while back now - it used to be their classic card and you paid £100 and got a small limit...... maybe people were struggling with small limits so they scrapped it - who knows :confused:
Strange, guess people were finding it hard. I tried to quote your other post too but it only lets you do 3. Would it be best to apply now (given my recent searches!) or wait until June? If I apply now and am rejected I'd have to wait until July but I want to go for MBNA & co in June, so that would be another load of searches!

Also I have savings in another account (and money pending from Bet365 when they get a move on and pay it!). Would it be good to move the savings back to Natwest, and wait for the payment to come through, so it looks like I've got loads of money (it would be like 2k postive balance), or would they see it's only just been transfered and that I'm playing games and likely to move it straight back afterwards?:p Oh and I get 2k from Student Finance on the 11th (apparently, bet that won't be the case!), if I wait until that comes through then would the massive positive balance (for a student anyway! :p) affect it? Or if I phone up and ask them to get rid of my overdraft (I haven't phoned up to get the Christmas extention) so that it's less debt I could get myself into (because I'm not going to use it)

Just been talking to Natwest live help (they won't actually decide though), this is part of it. Is this right!? I thought if you selected Student then Student Finance and other contributions count?

Jo: You can have more than one. However for the Classic Credit Card you will need to be earning at least £10k per year.
Zack: As I'm a student does that include my income (grants and contributions etc) rather than a full time job?
Jo: No i'm afraid not. The £10k will need to be salary.

I have a Natwest account too and can't get the credit card, although I'm sure if I qualify, they'd give me a nice big limit because my account with them is always in credit and I never withdraw from it. :(

How come you can't get one, because you don't have 10k from a job? That's the same for me, they are my main bank, just offer awful interest rates so never leave any money there :p. The rules are stupid though, it's a Classic card not a Platinum/"special" one, so if you can afford the repayments they should let you have it:rolleyes:
