Jumped on the wagon with MBNA when I saw a post back in Sub prime part 3 I think it was were MBNA were doing a card with a £100 Deposit if your credit histroy wasn't the best haven't seen anyone talk about lately so looks like they pulled it.That's a shame, I'd have done that!

Also I have savings in another account (and money pending from Bet365 when they get a move on and pay it!). Would it be good to move the savings back to Natwest, and wait for the payment to come through, so it looks like I've got loads of money (it would be like 2k postive balance), or would they see it's only just been transfered and that I'm playing games and likely to move it straight back afterwards?:p Oh and I get 2k from Student Finance on the 11th (apparently, bet that won't be the case!), if I wait until that comes through then would the massive positive balance (for a student anyway!) affect it? Or if I phone up and ask them to get rid of my overdraft (I haven't phoned up to get the Christmas extention) so that it's less debt I could get myself into (because I'm not going to use it)

Why on earth would you do such a daft thing as buy a mac? I mean, doh! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oi ! Only just noticed this.:p0 -
Just been talking to Natwest live help (they won't actually decide though), this is part of it. Is this right!? I thought if you selected Student then Student Finance and other contributions count?
Jo: You can have more than one. However for the Classic Credit Card you will need to be earning at least £10k per year.
Zack: As I'm a student does that include my income (grants and contributions etc) rather than a full time job?
Jo: No i'm afraid not. The £10k will need to be salary.

I have a Natwest account too and can't get the credit card, although I'm sure if I qualify, they'd give me a nice big limit because my account with them is always in credit and I never withdraw from it.We’ve had to remove your signature. How come you can't get one, because you don't have 10k from a job? That's the same for me, they are my main bank, just offer awful interest rates so never leave any money there. The rules are stupid though, it's a Classic card not a Platinum/"special" one, so if you can afford the repayments they should let you have it:rolleyes:
