The process is very quick with them, when I applied 18 months ago for their account + credit card, got the forms sent to sign within few days. All forms sent back then few days after that got the very posh welcome pack for the 1st account but the letter also said that they could not give me the credit card at that stage. Waited to have been 6 months with them and applied over the phone & was offered the Gold credit card with £3000 (what I requested). 2 months ago was accepted with them for a £13000 loan and again the money was in my account within seconds...

    Hiya

yea I remember you saying on the First Direct thread (linked in your quote)..... but remember I had the same, sent forms back to then get declined

I thought they'd already searched me and were happy - cheeky beggars! :rotfl:

To be honest I was shocked at the time to be accepted as my Experian file was far to be perfect but once you're in then whatever you apply with them as long as you manage your account well is no longer credit checked but purely based on account behavior, anyway for what I have experienced myself..

Yea that's what i've heard - they are pretty good, but is it true when you apply for a loan they ask you everything like if you smoke, drink etc? If so, how much? LOL - someone said they were extremely thorough

Anyways, i'll get declined - I expect nothing less, remember I have a cifas from hsbc against me which doesn't look great, even though I bank with hsbc :rotfl:

Whoever said that is talking complete non-sense...the loan application process was the easiest I've never seen....basically asked me how much I wanted & for how long...what was the loan for....CCA to sign electronically then bingo CONGRATULATION...the money was already in my account.

Ouch, sorry about the 15k pay cut man! I don't earn yet but that must be hard! Good you're debt free though :)

Oh I got some letter earlier from Provident Financial or whatever they are, offering me £50 to £500 quid.... as much as I'd like to grab it just for the hell of it, I'm assuming they charge some stupidly high rate so binned it - how can they just write to me like that though!? Are they tied in with Aqua or someone? I've never applied for a loan because I have the things!
