    Hiya troops hows everyone?

Not been on for a day or so, Not much to update apart from i cant get a refund to my credit card instore due to me awaiting on my pincode for the card to arrive.

Got a letter from the ICO who said they got my letter and will be in touch soon.

Got a letter from Citi Bank who would like a copy of a bill or bank statement before issuing details and card etc

To refund a purchase back on a Credit or debit card for that matter as long as its the card that you paid with you dont require to enter your pin i work in retaill and solong as its the card you paid with it goes straight back onto your card and will show on your account in a few days (varys on lender)

Its the new chip and pin systems mate.... in the old days (pre chip and pin) they swiped your card and you signed the slip, then 3 days later it appeared back in your account.

Nowadays you enter the pin and it goes in the next day (usually).... :D

    Sorry to hijack post,

    but ElkyElky,

Just wondering if you could give me some advice, one of my mates wants to apply for the HSBC CC, however is in two minds as she has heard that the customer service provided is not as good as other CC providers (also bcoz of the overseas call centres).

In retrospect, have you had any problems with HSBC? and whats your overall view on the HSBC CC?

If you could help, would be much appreciated.

Any other comments are welcomed thanks

Customer services has been pretty good and I am overall impressed with the bank. However, I haven't been with them long so can't give a accurate recommendation. I haven't had any problems at all with them. The only issue I have is that they don't have a branch in my town but driving 20 miles to the nearest one isn't a problem. :D

Never-in-doubt is the best person to ask. He has been with them for some time and knows the in's and out's of the bank. :D

Sorry to hear that fairmorn, your best bet is to contact your ppi providers straight away as some of them are different to others, some will pay out regardless of redundancy pay and some don't. Good luck

Oh no. sorry to here your news.:( Have some hugs....

when my mum got made redundant a few years ago -from memory- i am sure 1 company started to pay straight away and another started to pay after her 8 weeks, as she got paid 8 weeks salary.

I know you probably dont want to do this today, but you need to start the ball rolling as soon as. The sooner they are aware of the situ the sooner they can act and from your point of view the sooner you will know where you stand.

What line of work are you in?
