Spoke to the HSBC customer relations dept earlier today and the guy said that once the disputed credit search recorded on experian credit file has been removed (after next Experian CAIS update, i am free to apply again....without the 6 months rule between HSBC credit card applications.

    Strange really.
Even still i'd say to wait till the 6 month period has been and gone just because that person wouldnt be able to 100% confirm that their internal system wouldnt just generate an auto decline.

I did ask the guy 3 times to confirm it and he said yes. But on the safe side, i will wait out 6 months.

Well I've not received notifcation about this like they have stated in the report. No matter, never use cash withdrawals and pay off balances pretty quickly anyways so hopefully all is still well, lol!

Basically brings their card in line with most others - losing interest free period on new purchases if you don't clear your card in full is pretty much standard.

The massive £0.50 hike from £2.50 to £3.00 isn't anything to lose sleep over - and technically because they will no longer charge interest on fees and charges, and the allocation of payments is being reversed, people who don't clear their balances in full and have cash advances will actually pay less interest, not more as the article wrongly states.

Still, fills a bit of column inches for the mail I suppose :)

Had an Amex Duo since it was launched, not had anything from LTSB about any changes to terms, no doubt will get something nearer the time.
