I might phone up again tomorrow and ask again, if they give me rubbish about how the current terms weren't the terms at the time I signed up (wish I'd checked and printscreen it, but I know they're talking BS anyway, just can't prove it) then I'll ask them to close it, see if that gets any reaction :rotfl:
Just about to do the same with o2, they want me to pay £288 to pay off my contract, erm no! So going to see if they'll let me downgrade the one I'm on, if they don't I'll make it clear I'm leaving them as soon as I'm legally allowed to!
They won't react to closure. They'll just reply "ok, you're account is now closed".We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

What I don't understand is o2, well mobile contracts in general. They give me a contract (along with loads of my mates) which is fair enough, but essentially that's an unlimited credit limit. You have to go well over a grand (or miss 2 payments in a row) before they restrict your account and ask for some of the money back. Obviously I'm not going to go over a grand, just like I wouldn't spend a grand on a credit card (well...:D) but if o2 are happy to give me a high value phone and a contract (with very high monthly payments too) why are Crap1 only happy to give me £200 and Halifax don't even want to give me a bank account!? :mad:They won't react to closure. It's true that I'm in my limit, the problem is overdrafts can be recalled at any time, and normally people that use their overdrafts are those that need them - because they don't have the money. I have the money just other motives :rotfl:. But if they think I'm borrowing a grand, and my credit cards, that's probably going to be too much, that's why I'm hoping my files haven't been updated so what Aqua don't know can't hurt them :rotfl:

Doesn't it have to be confirmed in writing? And closing it might help me if they're not going to put the limit up, then I'd only have 1 card again, and would try to get accepted for something decent next time!! If they don't put it up on statement 11 (when my rate goes down again) I'll seriously consider it
I understand that overdrafts can be recalled at anytime but student overdrafts allow you to be overdrawn while you are at Uni. I am using more of my overdraft than you and it did not affect me with AQUA.0 -
Evening all. It's TheEffect. I cannot remember my password or email address that I registered so I had to make a new username.
I want to apply for a new card. Anyone got a suggestion? I can't apply for Sigma, Tescos or Barclays and already have CapitalOne.
Good credit file apart from high searches.0 -

I just cycled for an hour as fast as I can to get home, hoping my aquacard would be waiting for me. It wasn't!
Now I'm depressed, tired and hungry - but too tired to make anything.
Someone cheer me up!!!:D0 -
