It seems a long long time ago now that I first mentioned the Flybe card to this forum.

I am glad that after all this time others are now having the same success :)

That seems strange. I can't believe that they ever accepted, and still accept me. I am a stay at home mum and always tick the income box £10-19000.

I had a rubbish £400 limit on the JJB one (must have been over a year ago now) so closed it, but have kept open 3 others.

The only ones funnily enough that they will not accept me for are the Charity cards.

Maybe in the future they will accept you. My first one was the JJB, and that was about a month before my last default dropped off my credit reports.
  • That is surprising considering they (and Natpest) are the easiest to get accepted for.... the only logical reason would be not on elecoral register or not earning enough?

But it usually is an easy process, especially if you've had an account with them for so long - did you bounce payments and have charges? Go overdrawn without an overdraft?

Remember most banks rely on internal scoring, especially back in 2001 - things were a *lot* easier ;);)

I'm thinking quite hard about it, and I think the only time I incurred a charge was when I was leaving because they wouldn't upgrade me - I think I bounced a direct debit.
I was on a good salary for an 18 year old, unsure about the electoral register as I can't remember voting haha.

I see you help people in here everyday but I have no reason to lie.
Not long after I got knocked back for an upgrade I got a loan and credit cards, and subsequently created a pretty dire credit file and now I am suffering the consequences for it.
Hell mend me as my granny would say :rotfl::rotfl:

May i remind all of you of this simple bit of logic thinking.

    No Application = NO

    BUT

    Application = YES/NO

    AND

NO sod off = Appeal it! Appeal it! Appeal it! Appeal it!

If you dont appeal its a definitive NO.

Its just like asking the parents for something and them turning round and saying no. Keep bludgeoning them and it may possibly become a YES.

This is what i do everytime i'm declined something just because there is always a chance that it could become a YES.

P.S. Thanks NID for the appeals template

    Evening all :)

Blair, Oliver and Scott are yet to update my credit file to show the fact that my defaulted BOS student credit card has been settled. How long's reasonable before I chase them?

Still using RBS systems so quite easy - they check back 2 years (sometimes 3).... they can be easy or hard, remember they do give poxy limits though - as well as good limits... :D:D

Won't matter too much - it is adverse for forget credit for 3 years!

Unless you get lucky and appeal it, but it will be updated on their next CAIS/INSIGHT data run (usually first week of the month)....
